DrNyet: He is also the translator and publisher of an English edition of Paul Schmidt's "How Chessmasters Think," a fine book in my opinion, and of an unusual genre in which a world class player suggests the thoughts of both sides in the games, and at length.

It seems to me that Tangborn's absence from CG's "Players" index is an oversight (him being a fairly well-known chess writer and an IM).
