LASZLO NAVAROVSZKY
(born Apr-03-1933, died Jan-17-1996, 62 years old) Hungary

László Navarovszky-Papp was born in Budapest. He started chess competition in 1945 and earned the title of Master at the 1951 Hungarian National Championship. He became an International Master in 1965. From 1968 to 1979, he was a director in the Hungarian Chess Federation. He was captain of the Hungarian Olympic team at Nice in 1974 and at Buenos Aires in 1978 where the Hungarian team won the gold medal. He was also the Hungarian team captain in Moscow at the European Championship in 1977.
