Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-09-16  sfm: Not an impressive score as such - but against those opponents, it is actually quite respectable!

offramp: <sfm> Yes. Even Czerniak was a very strong player. He was very determined, as can be seen by his high move-avaeage. Kuijpers I know nothing about!
Nov-10-16  HSOL: In the IBM B tournament 1968 he finished last with 2 out of 11.

In the Dutch championship 1967 he finished joint 10th with 3½ out of 11.

Other tournament results is joint 8th with 2½ out of 9 in the IBM B tournament 1966 and last with 2 out of 9 in the Hoogovens B tournament 1962.

In short: I would expect him to definitely be of expert level (ELO 2000+) in the 1960s but doubtful whether he was master level (ELO 2200+).

Apr-19-22  Jan Kersten: Pieter Geert (Piet) Bakker was born 23rd January 1937 in Rotterdam. Source: personal conversation 13th October 1997.
Apr-19-22  Olavi: Is he related to Ineke Bakker, the FIDE General Secretary during Euwe's and Olafsson's reigns? She died in 2003, age 70.
Apr-19-22  Jan Kersten: Bakker is a very common surname in the Netherlands, so probably not.
