Feb-29-04  ConLaMismaMano: I would like to know Gilberto's highest rating ever achieved, i've been told that the one showed here is not correct (he broke the 2600 barrier for sure). And i would also like to know in which tournaments did he participate while beeing a 2600+.

Aug-19-05  notyetagm: Shame: http://chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp...
Aug-19-05  Pawsome: Milos' actions as reported in the article cited by <notyetagm> (along with those of Kansky, Onischuk and Vexcovi) await explanation. The report given in Chessbase is very credible, especially fortified by the crosstable of the rapid playoff.
Jul-22-06  arbivara: There are several Milos' Brazilian title missing in his bio (I'll latter post the years). He's now tied as record holder with seven title, together with Sunye and Souza Mendes
Jul-23-06  arbivara: Sorry, I was mistaken in the previous post (that's what one get to trust one's memory). Milos has 'only' six Brazilian titles: 1984, 85, 86, 89, 94 and 96. He tied 1st last year with rising IM Alexandr Fier, but the title was given to Fier due to better tie-break system (I think it was Sonneborn-Berger, but not sure). Anycase, Fier's best system was due to his victory in the direct encounter.
Jul-23-06  arbivara: BTW, Milos' rating peak is correct here and not in ChessBase. He got 2644 in Oct 2000. See http://www.fide.com/ratings/id.phtm...

Oct-30-07  xequemate: Well, finally the chessgames shows a brazilian player as the player of the day. I´m also brazilian and already played against him in a simultaneous game and, of course, I lose. But it was a pleasure.
Oct-30-07  vonKrolock: http://www.brasilbase.pro.br/jgmilo...
A short bio in Portuguese, table of results and a file with more than 1300 games. I'm recalling that he first made the news headlines wining a Jr ch from São Paulo State in 1977 or 78 with a perfect score (really a feat for a boy of 14 or 15 against some very experienced players). In the World U-16 ch he was fourth (Belfort, 1979) In the Brazilian U-16 (Curitiba 1980) he scored again a 100% - This Tournament was played in the "Clube de Xadrez Erbo Stenzel" in its first location, an Art Museum.

Nov-28-07  tal lover: <VonKrolock> Voce é brasileiro?
May-29-08  vonKrolock: cross table of two recently completed Tournaments in Santos, Brazil. Milos shared first (undefeated) in the Cat IX event, with Mareco from Argentina, and ahead a. o. GMs Leitão and Zambrana. In the other Cat VII (?!) event, Fier won ahead, a. o. GMs Bachmann (Paraguay), Rodriguez (Uruguay), H. van Riemsdyk etc http://www.fpx.com.br/2008/fsantist...

May-29-08  Augalv: It's good to hear about all these strong latin players again. And congrats to Milos, ...and Mareco.
Nov-23-09  vonKrolock: The Brazilian in World Cup (2009) s second round

G Milos vs O Kurmann, 2012
