Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-29-04   ConLaMismaMano: His full name is Ivan Morovic Fernandez, best player in Chile's history, in 96' i think he was like about 2644 of Elo or something like that. He played in the most important tournaments of the World, i would like to know what was his highest rating was and in which tournaments did he participate?
Aug-22-04   OlimpBase: This Morovic guy had Croatian background (how come he was born Chilean?) an actually left for Croatia to have represented them at the 2000 Olympiads. I had been much surprised to learn he came back to Chilean squad in 2002. Any clues on that mystery?
Aug-22-04   Lawrence: <OlimpBase>, in your user profile you ask for corrections to your web-site. "It's been no more than 10 weeks"--omit the word "been."
Nov-08-04   tabatustra: many croatians came to Chile, actually one of the wealthier guys in Chile: Andronico Luksic has croatian background. Maybe he got double nationality. what mistery? athletes do it all the time

Dec-23-07   ALEXIN: He is now President of FENACH (the more active chess federation in Chile). He is struggling in order to be recognized by the FIDE as the official chess federation. Chilean chess players have a lot of problems with the actual official federation (FEDACHI).

Caissanist: Apparently these problems stil haven't been sorted out, since FIDE's listing all Chileans as unrated.
Jan-29-09   ALEXIN: It is now ok!
