May-03-06  BIDMONFA: Jeroen Bosch

BOSCH, Jeroen

Jun-27-06  Runemaster: I think this player's name is identical to the famous painter of centuries ago, Hieronymus Bosch (a pseudonym, though, from the painter's town of Hertogenbosch). Hieronymus is the Latinised version of Jeroen.

A scary guy to sit down opposite - you'll never quite what might appear on the board!

offramp: ...And Geronimo is the Spanish version of Hieronymus.
Jun-27-06  Runemaster: English would be Jerome, I think - Italian Girolamo. Hieronymus sounds the best to me, though.
Jun-30-06  Runemaster: The Mighty Bosch (obscure/alternative British comedy reference).
May-03-08  Eastfrisian: A talented player in my eyes, but he doesn't come higher in the ranking. Stellwagen, Smeets, L'Ami and others seem to be better in the moment.
May-03-08  DarthStapler: Reminds me of Admiral Aken Bosch from Freespace 2

remlap12: Wow...He played in Olot in 1969 and then was born the following year!! Amazing accomplishment!
May-03-08  zoat22: yeah, thats interesting

Nothing new, he was always a genius:

May-03-09  WhiteRook48: Happy birthday
Apr-05-12  wordfunph: famous for his Secrets of Opening Surprises series, now in volume #14..

Jun-30-15  Poisonpawns: "LordJim" on ICC
Sep-22-19  ragtag: <SOS> I've yet to see an author write "This opening is rubbish, but please buy my book anyway".
