GrahamClayton: Gibson was a member of the Glasgow Chess Club, and had the honour not losing to both Capablanca and Alekhine in simul games. The Capablanca game was in 1919, while the Alekhine game was in 1923.
Feb-01-18  Alan McGowan: The corrected link for Gibson's biography on the Chess Scotland site is at https://www.chessscotland.com/docum... In 1919 Gibson and club colleague John Longwill defeated Capablanca in a consultation game. Details can be seen at https://www.chessscotland.com/docum...
May-17-21  Nosnibor: Despite being nine times Scottish Champion there are only two of his games shown here from those events.
