 | | FSR: <perfidious> I just realized that you have made it through the Age of Doom! My congratulations! I still have 20 days left. |

 | | perfidious: <FSR>, I am thus more fortunate than two high school classmates who called it a day at 64 these last few months, not to mention two who did not make it to the end of the year we graduated. |

 | | perfidious: <FSR>, one had terminal cancer and passed on days after graduation, so was no surprise. Jay was a good kid and liked by everyone. |

 | | perfidious: <FSR>, the other classmate who bought it went in a car accident and I will always remember my disbelief on reading of it, because it was in an area where I would have sworn there was no chance whatever that could happen. |

Jul-18-25 | | Muttley101: Sad to see that Dave has died. He was, like pretty much everyone in Wales, considerably underrated. His play was sharp and if you weren't careful he would destroy you. He liked to attack and was full of tactics. He was a regular of the chess scene up to 2019 at least, when Covid shut everything down. He was a quiet and proper person. Whether he won or lost he remained calm and accepted it. RIP Dave, it was always good to see you at a match or a tournament. You will be missed. |
