Aug-15-14  zanzibar: Can somebody update this one's dob - it would be helpful to tell the two apart.
Aug-15-14  Refused: lol

<There are two of them (b. Aug/12/1972 and Aug/10/1976)>

Most epic biography ever. :')

Aug-15-14  zanzibar: <Stonehenge> ???? on the ????

But if directed to my comment...

Which one is this one? (Without looking up the other one).

Is this player's dob 1972 or 1976?

  Stonehenge: Three players:

http://ratings.fide.com/card.phtml?...

Aug-17-14  zanzibar: <Stonehenge> good work.

(And a good test case for my latest program).

Question - does the <"The latter was formerly known as Thomas Flindt."> apply only on <CG>, or is there more to the story?

If there isn't more to the story, then why isn't <Thomas Flindt> just deleted after moving his games here?

Sargon: For this particular Thomas Christensen, not a single one of the opponents listed here appears in ANY of the 3 listings on FIDE. The plot thickens...
May-17-15  zanzibar: <Sargon> but absence of a positive is expected if FIDE doesn't have the <2005 21st European Club Cup> tournament, which seems to be the case.

Most of the tournaments they do have look like local affairs, whereas the European Club Cub would have him playing non-locals.

So, maybe not so unexpected a result.

I do think we can perhaps deprioritize this player:

http://ratings.fide.com/card.phtml?...

A little too low a rating, and no 2005 games. But who knows?

There's a technical 2005 chess review by a Thomas Christensen here:

http://seagaard.dk/review/eng/bo_op...

It has an email address. You could write him and inquire.

There's also a picture of one of the Christensen's on p29 of this pdf:

  Stonehenge: http://ratings.fide.com/card.phtml?...:

just click on <rating chart>. The 2247 rating from 2005 can be found there.

May-17-15  zanzibar: If we are citing a FIDE rating for this player then, shouldn't we put the FIDE card link that goes with it?
May-17-15  SimonWebbsTiger: I happen to know the chap in question.

The data is correct.
http://turnering.skak.dk/ClubAndMem...

May-17-15  zanzibar: Thx <SWT>. Here's the specific player's FIDE card from the Club link:

http://ratings.fide.com/card.phtml?...

FIDE id = 1403532

May-17-15  zanzibar: The link <SWT> gives actually lists all the tournaments shown here on the <CG>, in the details page:

http://turnering.skak.dk/ClubAndMem...

That's great.

I'm curious <Simon>, given you know the player, is he the pictured on p29 of the PDF I linked to earlier?

http://www.sk1968.dk/blad/klubfebru...

May-18-15  SimonWebbsTiger: @<zanzibar>

yes, that's him in the sk68 club mag.
