  GrahamClayton: Len Whitehouse was a long time member of the Hamilton Chess Club. He his remembered by the Len Whitehouse Cup, which is awarded to the player, being a resident of the greater Waikato area, who scores highest in the Open division of the Waikato Open tournament.

  perfidious: There was a Len Whitehouse who was in high school a few years ahead of me and is one of only two players to make the major leagues from my state in a good many years (both as left-handed pitchers).
