Nov-14-06  percyblakeney: ...where Bareev had queen against queen and knight, and won the game.
Nov-14-06  nuwanda: thank you <Mameluk>, you seem to be right.

You see, i'm no better than moro...

Nov-14-06  you vs yourself: Game draw after Mamed found 101..Qh3+. Final position:

Nov-14-06  percyblakeney: Mamedyarov has the two longest games, but no decisive games yet.
Nov-14-06  percyblakeney: An interested public following today's round:

Nov-14-06  Mameluk: Good stalemate. Now i find 9 draws highly probable from Mamedyarov, even if it seems he was lost in nearly every game.
Nov-14-06  Ingolf: <acirce> That's just great. Anybody can find a study-like win now and then. Finding the only move that denies your opponent the ability to do it is for the chosen few. That bishop really demonstrates that it matters a great deal how (and where) you die.
Nov-14-06  Rolfo: Had to leave one hour into Carlsen-Leko game, was it good game?
Nov-14-06  jamesmaskell: As I recall, Carlsen turned down the draw and got beaten down, but made the save and got a draw.
Nov-14-06  Rolfo: Thank you <jamesmaskell>, I understand he had to fight for it
Nov-14-06  Karpova: Round 8 predictions:

Leko - Mamedyarov 1-0
Svidler - Morozevich 1/2
Shirov - Gelfand 1/2
Aronian - Grischuk 1/2
Carlsen - Ponomariov 1/2

Nov-14-06  Ingolf: chessmoron. I wasn't being ironic, or angry. Sorry if I didn't make myself clear.
Nov-14-06  Mameluk: <percyblakeney> Yes Garry, the games today also made me biting my nails. Keep the Tal spirit alive.
Nov-14-06  percyblakeney: Definitely 5 totally correct round 8 predictions:

Leko - Mamedyarov 0-1
Svidler - Morozevich 0-1
Shirov - Gelfand 1-0
Aronian - Grischuk 0-1
Carlsen - Ponomariov 1-0

Nov-14-06  Wild Bill: Round 8 predictions:

Aronian over Grischuk; all others drawn.
