Oct-19-06		soberknight: Oh good Lord (no pun intended). To be mentioned in the same sentence as the infamous copyright pirate ebaumsworld - with friends like that, who needs enemies? But I appreciate the spirit of the comment. Or if it was just comparing my story to the Christmas lights, I don't see the relevance. I just checked back here and re-read the whole shpiel. It was hard not to laugh, just not to distract my roommate. It really is funny. If I could write it again, I would have used more ambiguous player names, such as "Benjamin" in place of "Joel Benjamin." At the time, I lacked the technical understanding to search chessgames.com for such subtleties. (I was using the search bar at the top, not the "advanced search" function in the middle of the page, which gives the first 41 results for a given name. By the way, I never figured out, or got an answer, as to why it was exactly 41 names. Do a search for very common names such as Michael, Mikhail, Jose, Robert, Smith, etc. and you will see what I am talking about. I made one other post on this topic a while back.) Anyway, thanks everyone for appreciating my work. As an adherent of the Orthodox Jewish religion, it's good to maintain some good-natured humor as I prepare to read again the creation story in the first 5 1/2 chapters of Genesis, which is the subject of this Saturday's public reading in synagogue. (I often do the public reading myself, but I have this week off.)

A cursory flick-through in London Chess & Bridge suggests this is a fairly disingenous work; just one game by Lawrence Day, who made a living from this opening, and barely a mention of the word 'Pterodactyl'.
