Feb-11-05  Granite: <marcus13> I'd think it's unlike, since it's hard to speak with your cheeks full of captures pieces. ;)

WTHarvey: Here are some crucial positions from Evgeny's games not shown here http://www.wtharvey.com/naje.html
Feb-11-05  TheSlid: Very interesting, WTHarvey. Thanks for the link(s) to this site, at which one might spend a lot of time!
Feb-11-05  jahhaj: <WTHarvey> That is a really clever way you have of hiding the solutions to the puzzles on your website!
Feb-11-05  fasting: that was great fun Dillinger - lol
Feb-11-05  InfinityCircuit: <fasting> I agree--Chessgames.com really needs a new picture for him! Or maybe it's all a conspiracy. Perhaps Evgeny Najer has strange tendencies. (Pictures of black helicopters dancing in my head.)
Jan-16-06  dakgootje: probably same person as E Naer
Mar-22-06  GlennOliver: Evgeny Najer has a rating of 63% from the games listed here at chessgames.com.

That's pretty high, and only players of the standard of Tal, Fischer and Kasparove exceed it, as far as I'm aware, while players of the quality of Anand, Shirov and Svidler are lower.

Does anyone know which player has the highest career percentage ?

As a starting point, Fischer has 72.6%.

plang: Without taking the quality of opposition into effect this statistic doesn't seem very meaningful.
Mar-23-06  Aleking: Morphy... 84.6%
Apr-10-06  GlennOliver: plang,

All of the players mentioned, and all of the players within scope of my question, competed/compete against the best players active in their respective eras.

Aleking,

Many thanks.

I doubt there will be any advance on that, though I'd be happy to be informed otherwise,

Apr-28-06  Mameluk: Najer continues in scoring great results by beating Bareev in Russian league.
Nov-06-06  kasp: G.Greco 100% =)
Dec-10-06  Bob726: What is this guy rated?
Dec-15-06  Illogic: Too bad, a real trainwreck of a tourney by Najer. I wonder what happened.

Honza Cervenka: Najer plays superbly till now in Moscow Open 2007 scoring perfect 6/6. His last game against Ulko was pure straightforward aggression.

Feb-25-07  Knight13: He shared first place with Vasily Yemelin in the Moscow Open (2007). Congratulations.
