alexmagnus: Hanna Marie Klek (born 1995), German U10 Girls' Vice-Champion 2005 and U12 Girls' Champion 2006. In the WYCC 2006 (U12 Girls' section) came 25th. Now participating in the European Women's Championship, current score 0/4 (sounds bad, but well, she is a 12-year-old playing in the adult championship...).Her FIDE Rating is 1865, national rating 1789 (highest:1872/1834).

alexmagnus: I also have a picture of her. But don't know how to submit.

alexmagnus: So, except of the 6 games here, Klek played draw against Sokalska (2045) and lost to Richards (2220). Tomorrow she has a bye (one free point). Bad for her rating (if it was the last round, she'd lose 21 points - unfortunately her only win was against a FIDE-unrated player (Andrea Huppertz, national rating 1759)), but well, the opposition is quite tough.

alexmagnus: Hanna Marie lost against Bakalarz:(.
So she finishes the EU-ch with 3.5/11 (actually 2.5/10) and a rating performance of 1834 (place 141).

alexmagnus: In 23 days, the German Youth Champinship 2007 starts. Hanna Marie plays in the U12 Girls (where else?:)) Hope she defends her title, though my prediction is it will be a real war between her and Osmanodja (which Hanna wins, as a "revenge" for the U10 championship 2005....)

alexmagnus: Hanna Marie's national rating got updated... With 1854 she is now 20 pts better than her previous national rating bestmark :).
May-25-07
Premium Chessgames Member
alexmagnus: Ha, the list of prticipants (if these are really all) makes the U12 Girls section a two-class-society. The top two players - Klek (1854) and Osmanodja (1813) outrate the third seeded Kostre (n.r. 1574) by approximately 300/250 points (all national ratings). But if the modus is the same as in previous years, then boys and girls in the U12 play together (so girls participate quasi in both championships). In the boys' section the 5th seeded is rated 1816 (the 1st has 1956).
May-25-07  Knight13: An 1872 rated player gets to win all those titles??? (chuckles)
May-25-07
Premium Chessgames Member
alexmagnus: <Knight13> Hanna Marie is currently the highest rated girl in Germany born 1995 or later. Of those born 1994, only Veronica Foisor (1980) outrates her. BTW When she became U10 girls' vice-champion 2005, she'd been playing chess only for half a year.

May-28-07  whiteshark: <alexmagnus> May I ask for your relationship to Hanna-Marie ? Are you her trainer ?
May-28-07

alexmagnus: No. I know her co-trainer (not personally but from online chat) and follow her games almost since she started playing chess (to be exact short before German Youth 2005 - at that time she played chess since about 5 months and was rated about 1300). And yes - she is one of my three favourite players (see my profile):)
