Open Defence: the real gambit is if she is the future Mrs Wannabe
May-02-13  Abdel Irada: <OhioChessFan: Looks like she is preparing to play 1. Ke3, the Accelerated Wannabe Gambit.>

I think she's planning the old castle-through-your-pieces maneuver, 1. O-O, otherwise known as the Wascawwy Wabbit Autogambit. (It involves taking two of your own pieces.)

May-02-13  Abdel Irada: I should add to the preceding that the maneuver also involves bringing rook and king toward one another with sufficient force to initiate nuclear fusion, thereby converting the bishop and knight to energy and avoiding any violation of the laws of chess.

The laws of physics are another matter, but after all, we're chessplayers, not physicists. (Pace <al wazir>.)

alexmagnus: I think the actual move is 1.*king disappears from the board*, getting a unlosable game as she cannot be checkmated :).
May-03-13  Abdel Irada: <1.*king disappears from the board*>

Nah. Only <King Sacrificer> is allowed to do that.

alexmagnus: New rating: 2287, topping the previous all-time high by 20 points. Today she won against WIM Varga btw :)
Jun-01-13  waustad: She drew with Aronian in a clock simul. http://de.chessbase.com/Home/TabId/...

alexmagnus: That Aronian simul was quite weird, at least from me watching it over the net. Aronian seemed to barely use his time - I know, clock simuls can be quite stressy for the simul giver, but it looks as if he barely thought for more than a minute on any of the moves in the six games.

Didn't watch the game with an engine but it seems Hanna had an advantage somewhere mid-game. At least I'd take white if I had to on move 17. Still, a draw is a nice result :).

alexmagnus: She performed not too well there though, a 2199 TPR. But some of the won games were really nice :)

alexmagnus: Due to that slight underpeformance in the Mitropa cup Hanna Marie lost some rating, the new rating is 2272. Making her #14 woman in Germany and #238 in the world.

alexmagnus: Only that Chessbase, as usually, didn't manage to even write the title of the article without a typo. Although "Hana" is not as bad of a typo as "Topffavorit" was in one article :)
