Jan-24-06  azaris: <2 years from now, we might see this dude in Corus A.>

I seriously doubt that.

Jan-24-06  percyblakeney: <How old is Atalik?> 42 this year.
Jan-24-06  you vs yourself: <percyblakeney> Thanks! He is older than I thought.

<azaris> Why? You think the B-group is too tough for him?

Jan-24-06  petrovalovski: He wouldn't win it.
Jan-26-06  Bobak Zahmat: <you vs yourself: <percyblakeney> Thanks! He is older than I thought. <azaris> Why? You think the B-group is too tough for him?> Sure it is! But Group C is too easy!
Jan-26-06  EricCartman: <Bobak Zahmat> The B group would be too hard for him indeed. In fact, he shouldn't participate in the tournament at all
Jan-26-06  Bobak Zahmat: <EricCartman> Good POINT!
Jan-28-06  Jafar219: And he wins group C! Very impressive!

Jan-29-06  THE pawn: How many elo points did he win with this great performance in corus?

Jul-07-12  Poisonpawns: Why is he suspended by his federation?
Jul-09-12  PhilFeeley: <PP> I wondered the same thing. Chessvibes reports it <was the result of his refusal to sign an undertaking ... with which the Turkish Chess Federation requests all of its members to ask permission to play abroad. Besides, by signing the player states that he is responsible for all financial consequences of his participation in a tournament abroad, that he will "act in accordance with the responsibilities of a national athlete" and that he won't commit "any activity against Turkish Republic".>
