SwitchingQuylthulg: <Bookie> There's a problem with this round's pick three:

<Pick the correct result of three games from the 9th round of the Tal Memorial to win. Game 1 is Nakamura vs Carlsen, game 2 is Karjakin vs Ivanchuk, and game 3 is Nepomniachtchi vs Kramnik. For example, if you choose White-Black-Draw, you will win if Nakamura beats Carlsen, Ivanchuk beats Karjakin, and Nepomniachtchi draws Kramnik. >

There is no Nepomniachtchi-Kramnik game this round. (Worse still, there's one game with Nepo as White, and another with Kramnik as Black, so it's impossible to tell which game is meant.)

SwitchingQuylthulg: <Chessgames Bookie: I think it will be most fair if we now treat this like a daily double.>

First pick three ever with multiple winners? ;-)

chessgames.com: Sorry about the erroneous game on Tal Memorial: Rd 9: Pick Three.

Because the first two games are valid (Game 1 is Nakamura vs Carlsen, game 2 is Karjakin vs Ivanchuk) I think it will be most fair if we now treat this like a daily double. In other words, all tickets of the variety BLACK-DRAW-* will pay off: <Black-Draw-White> at 35:1 <Black-Draw-Black> at 15:1 <Black-Draw-Draw> at 13:2.

chessgames.com: <First pick three ever with multiple winners? ;-)> Interesting trivia: multiple winners can also happen if nobody puts any money on the winning outcome: then any ticket with 2 out of 3 is a winner. (Anything to avoid a refund!) But I don't believe that has ever actually happened here.

Anyhow, sorry again about the botched bet, and congratulations to the winners.

  Penguincw: Two questions.

When will the next tournament for betting happen?

When does the leg begin.

I think we have at least the London Chess Classic to go through so with a 15 chessbucks lead, you gotta put on the gas pedal.

Nov-28-11  TheFocus: <TD> I can't lend you any money, but I can give you my moral support.

Hang in there buddy!

Penguincw: Based on what I'm reading, I guess a lot of people lost money due to mainly McShane vs Carlsen, 2011. I guess that effected the London Chess Classic: Rd 2: McShane vs Carlsen and London Chess Classic: Rd 2: PICK THREE bets.
Dec-05-11  dakgootje: Could it perhaps be made bets are automatically paid an x-amount of time [eg 60 minutes] before the bet-closing of the next round?
