|
| Feb-08-14 | | wordfunph: <Bookie> let's make this Championship Leg exciting, how about German Bundesliga 2013/2014? http://www.schachbundesliga.de/inde... |

 | | Chessgames Bookie: I'm very sorry, we were missing a game by Vitiugov and were unaware that he was tied for first. We will reprocess the payment for the Gibraltar: WINNER wager shortly with a 3-way payoff then update the leaderboard. |
|
| Feb-12-14 | | MarkFinan: Dodgy Bookie, lol. I have a $25 bet on at 24:1 and although maths isn't exactly my strong point I still figure it should be more than $187? SETTLEMENT DATE: Feb-06-14
PROJECTED PAYOUT: 187 (24:1)
Gibraltar: WINNER

 | | Chnebelgrind: <MarkFinan> There were 3 winners and so the pot is splitted. See page 191 (Jul-29-10) of this forum, how ChessgamesBookie does manage this case. |
|
| Feb-13-14 | | MarkFinan: Chnenlgrind.. I clicked on once I read some kibitzing but it was too late to delete.. I should really read the old kibitzing when I've posted on game pages too because I often pose a question that someone answered years ago, lol. Thanks anyway 😃 |

Hopefully for every round. |

 | | juan31: Chessgames Bookie ; a question ¿ Motylev was the champion and he enter in the kind of " other " ? Thank you |
|
Mar-15-14
 | | Chessgames Bookie: <juan31> That is right, "OTHER" (Motylev) wins the European Championship. Tickets have just been paid off. |
|
| Mar-18-14 | | chessvcr: for how much i can buy premium membership, i mean using this bookie game paycheque. |
|
| Mar-22-14 | | john barleycorn: current net worth 1138 according to my user profile. Funds here: 2665.
The cashed in win from my bet on Svidler-Karjakin is where? 1954 chess bucks that was. Can you fix that please? |
|
Mar-22-14
 | | SwitchingQuylthulg: <john barleycorn> The net worth in your user profile is only updated twice a day, together with the leaderboard and overall standings. It should be accurate in another few hours. |
|
| Mar-22-14 | | john barleycorn: < SwitchingQuylthulg> thanks, I did not know that. I thought that the tax department confiscated the money. |
|
| Mar-27-14 | | dakgootje: Ello mister Bookie sir.
Yesterday Topalov-Karjakin [draw] wasn't paid out. However today Topalov played white again [vs Svidler] and won. He was subsequently credited with winning both games - which is incorrect. |
|
| Mar-29-14 | | Xenon Oxide: This seems to be the time where people start making over-the-top insane wagers on the hopes of unseating the leader... Someone put 10,000 on Karjakin in Karjakin - Anand at the beginning. It seems to be paying off as the system has pretty much digested the bet, meaning that if Karjakin strikes lucky the wager will repay 30,000... enough to unseat the leader. Exciting times! |
|
| Mar-29-14 | | AnimusEtOblivio: <Xenon Oxide> That is how this game must be played my friend :) Let's hope Karjakin can convert in this end game against Anand. |
|
Mar-29-14
 | | Annie K.: Tournament winner bet might as well be settled today, btw. :s |
|
Mar-29-14
 | | Chessgames Bookie: Dear punters:
• Round 11 Topalov-Karjakin was incorrectly paid off as 1-0; all people who bet on 1/2-1/2 are now paid. • The Championship Leg will indeed end tomorrow with the last round of betting on the Candidates. • I have just updated the leaderboard so everybody can see where they stand going into the final round. • We have settled the bet FIDE Candidates: WINNER with a round to spare; congratulations to Anand. |
|
Mar-29-14
 | | Chessgames Bookie: • And we've added another proposition bet:
FIDE Candidates rd.14: LONGEST GAME
Good luck! |
|
Mar-30-14
 | | Chessgames Bookie: We're going over the logfiles now to make sure everything is kosher and will announce the winners of the Championship Leg shortly. |
|
Apr-01-14
 | | Chessgames Bookie: Sorry for the delay folks. Let me say with certainty that User: Absentee is the winner of the 2013/14 Chessbookie Championship, and congratulations to him! I'm still investigating a discrepancy further down the list. Soon I'll post the full list of winners and prizes. Your patience is appreciated. |

 | | Stonehenge: Reposted from Dec-29-13:
Stonehenge: <3. The final leg of the year is special, in that the winners and runners up of the previous three legs will start the Winter Leg with 10,000 chessbucks instead of the normal 1,000.>
Isn't this a little unfair? Someone who wins all three legs gets 10000 but someone who only finished in tenth place once also gets 10000. What about this system:
*Extra* chessbucks to be added in the Winter Leg (on top of the normal 1,000): 1st place: 5000
2: 4500
3: 4000
4: 3500
5: 2500
6: 2250
7: 2000
8: 1750
9: 1500
10: 1000 |
|
Apr-01-14
 | | OhioChessFan: The system is what it is. I will forever object to <1/4> of the year having a small group of people given a stake <10> times as large as everyone else. A much shorter playoff leg with only those people? Sure. But 25% of the year with that kind of head start? Patently unfair. But I don't expect it to change, and that's okay. |
|
| Apr-02-14 | | dakgootje: I don't know - it's not impossible. This year I made the top-10 starting with only 1k; and if memory serves last year Chnebelgrind actually won - despite starting at 1k. However, that said.. If this were a beta, and we'd be commissioned to propose a good championship leg - I don't think I'd vote for this. Perhaps smaller differences [e.g. 5k] or perhaps something like stonehenge proposes. However those aren't strong sentiments - it currently works, so if the set-up would stay the same, I'd be fine with that as well. |
