Chnebelgrind: <FSR> I apologize for putting you out of the top ten (if that actually should happen). But I am happy to see that you are qualified already. So let's go for a thrilling Championship leg and probe all-time winner <Switch> there.

Chessgames Bookie: The Hastings Winner bet is still waiting for some indication of whether the tournament will use tiebreaks or not; Mista and Vakhidov both finished on 7/9.

The official site's Swiss Master program (http://www.hastingschess.com/2016/S...) puts Mista in first place, but I'd like to hear something from human sources, and it may be indicative that neither Chess-Results (http://chess-results.com/tnr201785....) nor the official site (http://www.hastingschess.com/) has announced a winner yet.

Annie K.: The plot thickens: now Chess-Results puts Vakhidov in first place. The tie-breaker will have to be the official site's announcement, when they get around to it. :)

FSR: <Chnebelgrind> Thanks, and congratulations! I certainly endorse your suggestion that we put the mighty <Switch> to the test. I'll do my best.

Chessgames Bookie: OK - the Hastings official site published an update that names both Mista and Vakhidov as co-winners. So the bet has been paid off with both tickets winning, at the usual multi-winner lower rates.

And this concludes the Fall 2015 leg - congratulations to the winners, hope everybody else had fun, and good luck for the Championship Leg! :)

chessgames.com: Hear ye, hear ye! The results are in, the leaderboard is correct, and the winner of the Fall 2015 leg is none other than <SwitchingQuylthulg> with a comfortable margin of 16,189 chess bucks.

Also qualifying are:

(2) bishop bandit (8,476)
(3) scout118 (7,483)
(4) pmosteo (7,069)
(5) Stonehenge (7,000)
(6) Karposian (6,749)
(7) abhishikt (6,550)
(8) vector (6,178)
(9) Touch of Knight (6,175)
(10) Chnebelgrind (5,625)

We will shortly present a list of all people who have qualified for the championship leg, and we will announce the prizes for the championship as well. It should begin in a few days. Good luck!

Penguincw: Thanks <Annie> for doing a fabulous job of running the leg.

First and foremost congrats to <Switch> for winning back-to-back legs. He has also won the last 3 legs he's played in. The only other instances where a user won back-to-back legs was <Switch> in Spring/Summer 2013 and <Switch> again in Summer/Fall 2008.

Also congrats to <scout118> for qualifying for this Championship a 3rd time, and to <Touch of Knight>, who has to date, qualified for all 10 championship legs.

Congrats to all the other qualifiers, including <Annie> who will be playing as well.

As for those who will not be receiving 10K, on my profile, I'll try to keep a track of the leaderboard <excluding> the qualifiers, to see who is the "best of the worst".

I performed pretty well in this leg, but crashed late (again) and didn't make it, but I'll take pride in that I'm the only user (other than <Switch>) to have finished with a positive net worth in the leg after their tenure as bookie admin.

And FWIW, here are <Annie>'s stats:

Fall 2015
Total Wager: 1,568,049
# of events: 447
Juice: 46,002

Comparing to other terms: Chessgames Bookie chessforum (kibitz #9842).

Record of final standings: https://web.archive.org/web/2016010....

And of course, let's not forget to welcome in the new bookie, <WinKing>. He <almost> qualified for the Championship leg, which would've entitled him to a free pass to the 2017 one, but he has 3 other legs to do it.

Anyway, let's all wish him the best of luck! Good luck.

I'm already qualified for the 2017 Championship leg <Penguincw>. Did it in the Spring leg. Remember this champion(now) will be for 2016. ;)

Jan-07-16  WinKing: Thanks <Annie K.> for hosting a fun fall leg of the ChessBookie game. I did pretty well with you at the helm. :)

Congrats again to <Switch> for winning yet another leg. How do you slow this guy down. Well I'm going to get my chance to find out soon heh, heh. ;)

SwitchingQuylthulg: Many thanks to <Annie> for her hard work as Bookie, congratulations to the qualifiers, and best of luck to incoming Bookie <WinKing>! Hopefully we'll have an entertaining Championship Leg.

If you didn't qualify, don't give up - there's more money around during the Winter Leg, and either steady gains or one big jackpot could put you back in the mix. Non-qualifiers regularly make the top 10; as <Chnebelgrind> showed in 2013 (and <technical draw> almost showed in 2008), a non-qualifier can win the whole thing.

Good luck everybody, and have fun!

Annie K.: <Switch> is, of course, right... :)

Thanks everybody, and especially <WinKing> for taking the next turn! I think you'll like it - this job can take up quite a bit of time, but it's also fun to do.

Chnebelgrind: <a non-qualifier can win the whole Thing> The most difficult thing to do so is not to qualify three time in a row. I doubt if <Switch> is able to do that.

Penguincw: Looking good so far <WinKing>! Love the idea of sports (sounds familiar), and very smart to ask if <Switch> will be the winner or not instead of making a bet that lists a bunch of winners. ;)

On a side note, I'm surprised <cg> didn't clear out the standings. I actually want to see the preseason standings. Currently, <GE> and I are the only users to have placed in the top 10 three times (no data available for Summer 2014)...

Jan-09-16  WinKing: <Switch> has a chance to be the first ever back to back ChessBookie champion(2015 - ?? 2016 ??). No easy feat, I don't care how good you are.
Jan-09-16  scout118: <CG.com> <CG Bookie>

Need to:

(1) Reset scores.

(2) Make a list of qualifiers who start with 10,000.

(3) Advise what the awards are for the champ and the rest of the top ten.

(4) Spot <switch> minus 10,000 to make an even playing field. ;)

Penguincw: Hey! What happened? I had 100 on Green Bay, and now it's all gone!

However, since the total pool for GB was only 1100 cbs, that means I would be in at least 10th place on the unofficial preseason standings.
