| Jun-02-06 | | TrueBlue: I have been winning all my bets and still can't get first place. Imagine if I start loosing :) |
| Jun-02-06 | | TrueBlue: and the loanshark offered me a loan of 55K, that's just crazy :) I would gladly take the money, but have no idea what to do with it! |

 | | Open Defence: <trueblue> bet it all on hayton3 getting his forum back ... |
| Jun-02-06 | | technical draw: Great, I finally made it to the leader board. Number 6 up from 400th. |
| Jun-02-06 | | YouRang: Why is it that when I look at the ChessBookie "leaderboard", <jokinas> is at the top of the list with the most chessbucks, but with a ranking of "(2)"? |
Jun-03-06
 | | Chessgames Bookie: That's a bug; thanks for pointing it out. The system thinks that I am actually #1. We'll try to get that fixed today. |
Jun-03-06
 | | Chessgames Bookie: Betting is open on the final round of the 37th Chess Olympiad. ChessBookie Game |
| Jun-03-06 | | YouRang: <Chessgames Bookie> <thanks for pointing it out.> You're welcome. I suppose it would be understandable if you felt obligated to reward me with some chessbucks, but my sense of honor makes me inclined to refuse such an offer (unless it were a trifling amount, like no more than, say, 1000 chessbucks ;-) |
| Jun-03-06 | | soughzin: I don't really like the betting system. I think you should be locked in at the odds you select. Also, with your own bet making your odds worse, it discourages large bets. |
Jun-03-06
 | | Chessgames Bookie: We opened up betting on the game 37ch Chess Olympiad Rd 13: Kamsky vs Carlsen. You can place a bet then watch the game at our Live Broadcast Page at 4:00am EDT this morning. |
Jun-04-06
 | | lostemperor: Steadily winning for the third consecutive day from below zero to a (lousy) +536 (with no illusions whatso ever in the end). |
Jun-04-06
 | | lostemperor: and I'm going to win a few bucks on 37th Chess Olympiad: Gold Medal (I was in fact the first here to put money on Armenia) God bless the Netherlands :) |
| Jun-04-06 | | Joshka: <soughzin> Well isn't that the way it is at a horse track, or dog track?...when one places a large amount the odds always go down??... |
| Jun-04-06 | | refutor: well i may drop out of the top 10...lots of people made case on armenia, and i bet on china and ukraine to win...although (realizing that armenia needed less than 2 points to win the gold) i did make a couple thousand on armenia-hungary draw ;) what happened in the US match? |
| Jun-04-06 | | technical draw: My net worth is dropping too. I might drop out of the top ten. Thanks a lot Magnus! |
| Jun-04-06 | | suenteus po 147: <Chessgames Bookie> Will there be any more events to bet on before the 18th? |
| Jun-04-06 | | technical draw: Hey <refutor> new list is out. yu numba ten. I dropped to 11th. |
Jun-04-06
 | | Chessgames Bookie: The Olympiad bets have all been settled; congratulations to the winners, and congratulations to the nation of Armenia. We will post more events to wager on later today. |

 | | Chessgames Bookie: Next on the gambling menu is the Magistral Ciudad de Leon: Winner. And for those who enjoy longshots, we've opened up the Magistral Ciudad de Leon: Perfecta. We will open markets on individual games when the tournament is about to begin. The English website is here: http://www.advancedchessleon.com/in.... Note that these games are 20 mintues + 10s/move, except for the tiebreaks which are 5 minutes per side. |

 | | Chessgames Bookie: <technical draw> <TrueBlue> Thanks. This has been a learning experience for us as well. We made a few small errors along the way, but now we feel better prepared for the upcoming legs. Let me reiterate that we are only a few weeks away from the end of the Spring Leg, on June 18th. At this stage, many of you are so far behind that the game has become merely practice for the next leg. Don't give up hope--it only takes one good performance to qualify for the championship, so everybody still has two shots left. |

 | | chessgames.com: <blingice: Oh goodie, the second accounts have cashed in...> Blingice, I removed your message because we don't want this forum to be a place to launch accusations. We are aware of what's going on and we assure you that no cheaters will qualify. Some of the names you mentioned haven't even registered an email address, which is to say, they are not actually playing. Others you mentioned are legitimate players. Multiple account cheaters will be removed from the list in due time. Because of this, everybody near the top may expect to jump up a few spots, and you should take that into consideration when planning your strategy during the final few weeks. |
| Jun-04-06 | | technical draw: <chessgames.com> Thanks for that info. I might squeeze in after all. |
