Jun-19-06  TrueBlue: Thanks Chessgames Bookie. It would have been nice if there were some awards, but I guess I get the bragging rights of being the first ever winner of a chessgames bookie leg. And there can be only one first :) I think I will skip the rest of the legs, gambling is definitely not for me. See you all, but you know I will be back to see how Topalov makes fun of Kramnik :)

chessgames.com: Don't go anywhere just yet, TrueBlue. There is in fact an unannounced prize for you as winner of the Spring Leg.

You now have been activated for a 1 year premium membership to Chessgames!

Enjoy your prize, and we hope you change your mind and come back in the Winter for the championship that you have now qualified for.

Chessgames Bookie: We've added betting for the Dutch Championship: Winner, but please note that the event has already begun. Betting will close Thursday morning, right before round #5. You probably should observe the results of today's games before making a wager.
Jun-20-06  jokinas: <<<New Rule>>> There is a small change The change is that the "juice" that the house collects will now be chopped in half, from 10% down to 5%. We hope that this stimulates the economy. Thanks!!

lostemperor: <TrueBlue> if you want to make fun of Kramnik already (or not) you can post predictions on my forum on the Topalov vs Kramnik match (or the Dortmund tournament where Kramnik is playing :-). Congratulations with your premium membership victory present!
Jun-20-06  TrueBlue: thanks chessgames.com. Your rock! This is the best chess website on the net! I will be back for some of the games of my new avatar. As far as gambling goes, I will think about it. I just don't like gambling on games I don't know enough about to make an informative bet. So maybe I will put some money on Topalov. Other than that, I will try to stay away from gambling, for now, we will see how it goes. But I do love the daily puzzles so I will be back for those.

lostemperor: thanks, I will check it out.

Jun-20-06  blingice: Did anyone notice that in the top 12 people (at the start of course), there has only been one kibitz total between all of them?
Jun-20-06  brankat: <Chessgames Bookie> What happened to Chessgames Bookie Icons which used to located between Profile and Chessforum sections? It's less convenient to access the betting page without them. Thank You.

WannaBe: <brankat> I believe, after the reset of chess bucks, until you make a wager, it does not appear. Because I do not see mine either. And I have yet to decide who to jinx/lose on.
Jun-20-06  brankat: <WannaBe> I've bet $200.oo already, just to test the system:-)

WannaBe: <brankat> Good, now you have to await the result and then see the number to show up on your profile page.

<Open Defence> went through with this the first time she played. =)

Jun-20-06  brankat: <Wannabe> Just remembered. While in Vegas did You have a chance to get involved in some charitable donations. On the other hand, the news came out yesterday about somebody breaking the house in Ceaser's Palace. Hmm, wonder who it was:-)

Chessgames Bookie: Betting is open on the sixth round of Aerosvit.
Jun-21-06  iron maiden: <Chessgames Bookie> Is there any expiration date for winning Chessbookie tickets? What I mean by that is, if I win a bet but don't cash in the ticket for one or two weeks, will it still remain valid and good for the money, or will it get taken off my ticket list sometime?
Jun-21-06  chessmoron: Although I'm not Chessgames Bookie, I think the tickets should remain valid no matter how long you cash in the ticket.

Chessgames Bookie: <What I mean by that is, if I win a bet but don't cash in the ticket for one or two weeks, will it still remain valid and good for the money, or will it get taken off my ticket list sometime?> Tickets never expire. It's good for the entire leg, and even if for some reason you never cash it in, you'll still receive credit for it in the standings.
