Jun-16-18  sydbarrett: I wish I had put more on Karjakin myself. He just lost though so I'm not sure if he is still Blitz champ? I need his jackpot :( Giri is not a speed player. He and Caruana I instantly ruled out. Pick Three is W-W-W?? Blitz is crazy

OhioChessFan: Blitz. Meh. Might as well throw darts. I've tossed a few dollars here and there but the utter randomness of this makes it really not fun.

OhioChessFan: I had 25 chessbucks on W-W-B on the Pick 3. How in the world did lousy Caruana win a blitz game?
Jun-16-18  sydbarrett: Karjakin won Blitz. Cash out please

Chessgames Bookie: Congratulations to GM So for winning the Grand Chess Tour(YNM) tournament with a score of 22/36! Also, congratulations to GM Karjakin for winning the Blitz portion of the contest with a score of 11.5/18!

I have put some 'Pick the Winner!' bets up for the Paris Grand Chess Tour(Rapid & Blitz) tournament that is coming up. Place your bets!

Jun-16-18  morfishine: <sydbarrett...Giri is not a speed player> Thats why I bet on him :)
Jun-16-18  sydbarrett: Will there be plenty of bets for the final two tournaments? I'm down for it.
Jun-16-18  sydbarrett: FSR was doing pretty well until a few hours ago. Don't worry if you finish in the negative zone Fred; I wrote this down so that posterity will know that you in fact were doing great until the final days.
Jun-16-18  morfishine: Go <sydbarrett>! Old <OCF> is playing chicken s__t not hardly betting

He who hesitates, gets run over. You can catch him with a couple of select homers!

Jun-16-18  sydbarrett: I was playing rapid and blitz bets for fun. Didn't expect any results like this. Honest

Chessgames Bookie: I see our 'Bookie Champion 18' has fought his way out of 'the Abyss'. Way to go <Count>! :)
Jun-17-18  Count Wedgemore: <Bookie> Thanks. Good to breathe some air again! A good finish in the Paris Rapid&Blitz and I'll end up with a decent result.

OhioChessFan: I've always pitied the Bookie. Late pairings in prediction contests make people grumble a little, but this place seems to have people out for blood.

Chessgames Bookie: This Bookie gig <OCF> is relatively easy. The only part that is a pain in the $#@ is waiting for the pairings. Incidents like Ding Liren dropping out are rare & people grumbling are really not a problem. If it were not for the 'pairings wait' I would do this job forever.
