  FSR: <morfishine: Can't believe I cashed in on a Draw/Black/Black

Wish I'd bet more>

Me too!

Jul-28-18  morfishine: <FSR> I was lucky enough to bank 687 CB's on that bet, but lost 600 on all the others combined

I'm just treading water for now :(

Jul-31-18  mike1: There is still a round to go in the Masters Tournament in Biel. Why are the bets on the winner already paid? I had to discard them ??

Annie K.: Ugghh... I paid off the GM tournament today, because Mamedyarov has already as good as won it. I did not pay off the Masters tournament, but I guess seeing the other winner bets being paid off may have confused our new Bookie, and he probably paid it off to be helpful.

He doesn't seem to be reading this forum, and he was in touch with Daniel, not with me, so he may just be very confused about now (and I don't have his email).

Normally the payout could be reversed easily, but I don't want to crowd Sargon about this right now, especially as today's leader may be tomorrow's winner anyway. Let's see. I see he paid out Vaibhav, who is in the lead today. If he wins tomorrow, no harm done. If somebody else ends up winning, we'll straighten this out eventually, please be patient.

Penguincw: I put too much faith in Georgiadis. I had 30 on DDW. Would've pulled me out of debt. I'll have to settle with 30 on DWW.
Aug-01-18  morfishine: <Annie K.> Thank you for pressing forward with our little game during this difficult time. No doubt, Daniel's pleased to see this

  Annie K.: <morfishine> thanks.

And, I guess, a heartfelt thanks should go to GM Vaibhav for winning the Biel masters tournament...

Aug-02-18  sydbarrett: I should thank him the most. I'm the only one who put money on him. :-)

Annie K.: <jingohanson> hello. In case you have been trying to write to chess@chessgames.com, please read about Daniel Freeman.

Nobody is answering that email for the moment - if you would like to continue helping with Bookie administration, you need to keep in touch by reading this forum regularly. Also, please do not settle any controversial or uncertain bets, leave anything other than routine settlements to me. We can't afford mistakes right now. Thank you.

Aug-03-18  wallytherhino: What is going on?

The last bet was titled "jingohanson please read the Bookie forum"

Annie K.: I am trying to get his attention at the one place he is sure to check sooner or later.

There's no other action until Sinquefield anyway.

As for what else is going on, please read Daniel Freeman.

Aug-04-18  Marmot PFL: I wish they had covered the Chinese tournament. Very even field but I had Yu Yangyi from the get go. But no money left to bet with anyway, and I don't like borrowing from the syndicate.
Aug-07-18  morfishine: <Marmot PFL> Borrow, borrow, borrow! Its all monopoly money or CB's

A sign of normalcy? Or at least as normalcy as cg.c can get?

Annie K.: <WinKing> do you still have the keys to the Bookie? Would you like to put up some bets?
Aug-11-18  WinKing: I can put up some Rapid bets for rounds 4 thru 9. Would that be O.K. <Annie K.>?
Aug-11-18

Annie K.: That would be fine with me, thanks. Btw, Daniel thought there wouldn't be any problem even if two Bookies tried paying off the same bet, and this leg even with <jingohanson> paying off some bets, I would settle anything I found open when I dropped by. If we want to be really careful though, maybe we should each pay off the bets we set up. <jingo> decided to step aside.
Aug-11-18  WinKing: Ok <Annie K.>. I will get some bets up for the Rapid portion of St. Louis 2018.
Aug-13-18  sydbarrett: Whoever put 500 bucks on W-D-W EARLY in the Pick Three bet today, you are a genius. I am in awe... took all my money. First place will have to wait. :-/
Aug-13-18  morfishine: <sydbarrett> That was me, thank you very much, I had 500 riding on a long shot WDW and it paid 1,856

I'm back in business baby!
