<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

You may or may not have donated this year (and thanks a lot to those who did!!!), but the whole train has you at the head, so thanks again for what you did!!!

Honza Cervenka: <OhioChessFan: Any update on Aneta's quest to win Baby of the year? I would be glad to sponsor an advertising banner on the homepage.> Hi OCF, I have updated the list of opponents in my profile today. With exception of December poll, which did not pass yet, all babies of month with their results and links to the polls they had won are listed there now. The competition looks very hard.

As long as we can keep talking, and have an occasional laugh, then our slightly differing views don't matter so much. What's in an opinion, anyway?

See ya in the next imbroglio, and don't forget to come with protective gear. The NFA's got the right idea.

OhioChessFan: Pleasantly surprised Ohio State held on tonight. I was more than a little worried they might get stomped. Even more surprising......Ohio State was much better. They didn't just get lucky one game. I think they'd win 7 out of 10 from Arkansas.

Hello- <playground player>

<Ohio> kindly reminded me of this. I'm sorry to have accused you of posting that "Magnus was gay" at the Kibbutz Cafe- that indeed was not you who posted the material.

It was another member with a similar name, and in my haste I thought/assumed it was you. This fellow's post was later deleted by the administrators. I was subsequently informed of the member's real ID name in an email I received from <Daniel Freeman>.

As it turned out, the name wasn't even that similar to yours, so you needn't worry that anyone has tried to "clone" your name and discredit you for some reason.

At any rate, I'm very sorry I libeled you. And I did do that, literally.

Best regards,
Jess

  jessicafischerqueen: <Ohio> good grief-

How embarrassing- I thought <pp> had me on ignore which is why my post wouldn't go in his forum, and then realized I had him on ignore- and not vice versa.

So I was able to put the post in his forum.

Jan-08-11  cormier: ocf ... you again act like royal between jqf and pgp .... if i ever did offend you i really appologise, specially i remember i had nowhere to input(keep) a post for reference with another guy but it would really take a while to find it, and posted it on your forum because i was very very short on time, anyway, it is written, His Will be done, ..... tks G
