<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

OhioChessFan: <chessmoron> do you plan on a moves prediction contest for Wijk aan Zee?
Jan-12-11  The Chess Express: <<<<<OhioChessFan>>>> My faith is in that which is reasonable and rational.>

There's nothing reasonable or rational about burning in hell for all eternity, and yet you have faith in that. Why don't you have faith that God heals people?

Jan-12-11

OhioChessFan: Asked, answered about eternal hell. I don't have faith that God miraculously healed someone that is currently appealing for money to share the news.
Jan-12-11  The Chess Express: Do you believe that God miraculously heals people?
Jan-12-11
Premium Chessgames Member
OhioChessFan: In answer to prayer, yes. I'm not sure if that qualifies as miraculously. I don't believe anyone has the capacity to lay hands on a person and they'll be healed as seen in the Bible.
Jan-12-11  The Chess Express: <<<<<James 5:14-15 New International Version>>>> Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. <15> And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.>

I believe the closer one is to God the more divine power that person can tap into.

OhioChessFan: James 5 is speaking of spiritual healing. The payoff is having their sins forgiven, not some physical malady cured.
Jan-12-11  The Chess Express: I beg to differ. Forgiving the sins cures the disease.

<<<<<Matthew 9:6-8 NIV>>>> But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “Get up, take your mat and go home.” <7> Then the man got up and went home. <8> When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to man.>

OhioChessFan: Jesus did both. Healed him physically and healed him spiritually.
Jan-13-11  cormier: god is everywhere,by his spirit he is the host of our soul, so usually he heal's the soul first then the human spirit and then the body ... but when 1 divine person is there the 2 others are also .... there are 2 actual grace 1 elevating and 2 medecating. there is 1 santificating grace is like baptism,a new life is awake, in a way a little god-child, and all the good doors are open-up, in front is a carrier(way) open to a man-god,a real carrier of Jesus-Christ. Being so, is living like Jesus-Christ.Could we imagineOur Lordbeing inactif, or only impeccable? Or imagin Our-Lordwithout his adorable perfections, his extreme goodness of heartfor all men, his piety(praying), his tenderness, his respect and obediance to his father? So is it for every Christiangrowing in the Spirit being docile to Him .....tks ps abundance and surabandance from His heart(side) will flow by the grace of the H-S.
Jan-13-11  The Chess Express: <OhioChessFan> I think you're missing the point. The sin is the cause of the disease.

<<<<<John 5:14 (King James Version)>>>>

Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.>

By forgiving the sin the disease goes away. James 5 speaks of physical sickness as well as spiritual forgiveness. In Matthew 9 Jesus tells us that sin is the cause of physical disease, and that physical healing happens when sins are forgiven.
