<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

Jan-13-11  Bobwhoosta: Hey <OCF>, can you post this on JessicaFischerQueen's page? I went to post it and found out I'm on her ignore list!!

<Hey Jessica,

I just saw something online about Credit Card fraud, and a little sidenote brought me back to a memory:

I was purusing your page the other day and found you talking about changing your account because someone hijacked it to send E-mails to all your friends.

On the Yahoo article I was just reading (written as an interview with a Credit Card thief) he says there are programs that can skim webpages looking for E-mail addresses.

His advice: NEVER post your E-mail address on a webpage.

Thought that might be helpful.>

Also, could you ask why I might be on ignore? I don't think I've ever talked to her.

Jan-13-11  Bobwhoosta: <TheChessExpress>

I think you're confusing the issue. When Jesus said "Sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee", he was speaking not of Physical maladies, but Spiritual Death and Hell.

If you look at Job, he was a man who was righteous in the sight of God, and yet underwent severe physical maladies.

Jan-13-11  The Chess Express: <Bobwhoosta> Read the last three passages I gave.

<"But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “Get up, take your mat and go home.”>

Sounds pretty straight forward to me.

Jan-13-11  The Chess Express: <<<<<Bobwhoosta>>>> If you look at Job, he was a man who was righteous in the sight of God, and yet underwent severe physical maladies.>

Do you believe that Job was without sin?

OhioChessFan: Sounds good <chessmoron> I'll try to advertise a little.

<Bobw> and <TCE> you have both raised some interesting points. I will try to address those on your forums until Tata is completed.

Jan-13-11  Bobwhoosta: <OCF>

You and <TCE> are both welcome in my forum. I will continue to post there.

<TCE>, I'll respond to your posts there.

Jan-13-11  The Chess Express: My forum will be down until I renew, so lets continue this in <Bobwhoosta>'s forum.

  OhioChessFan: *******************

Welcome to the Tata Steel 2011 Moves Predicition Contest. Your goal is to predict the results of each game, and the number of moves. For example, if in Round 1 Carlsen plays Aronian, you will list the players, the expected result, and the number of moves in the game. Thus if you enter:
<Carlsen-Aronian 1-0 43> that would mean you expect Carlsen to win in 43 moves. The scoring is a little complicated, but you can see the rules in my forum header. <chessmoron> is the administrator of the contest and will handle any controversies. Be sure to bring any scoring errors to his attention and he'll make them right. It occasionally happens.

OhioChessFan: I would encourage anyone here for the moves prediction contest to be sure to visit YouRang chessforum for the games prediction contest. An easy way to enter both contests is to enter here, copy your prediction, paste it in <YouRang> forum, and backspace over the number of moves. 30 seconds and you double your chances of winning a contest.

I also encourage you to visit lostemperor chessforum for his final standings contest where you predict the final standings of the tournament, first to last.
