<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

heh NICE ONE...

No "moves" on the screen though.

I forgot to ask you when I was running the <coolest man of the 20th century> contest--

How good is your husband at <owning firearms and keeping his hos in line>?

We should have put him in the nominations. <Dom> got in the nominations and I don't think he even owns any firearms.

And he finished <second> in the voting!!!

Dec-02-08  Open Defence: I own the firearms around the house

OhioChessFan: <travis> Galatians 4:4-5 But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.

"Born under law" means he was accountable to the law in effect at that time, the law of Moses. While he preached a new law, the old law was still in effect until his death. Just as you might write your will and all its provisions, and we could read it, it still would not be in effect until your death. It's hard for me to picture Jesus participating in a stoning but I can't affirm he would not have.

OhioChessFan: Odie, I think it was more a change in emphasis from the physical to the spiritual. Jesus had some chilling words about the eventual punishment of the disobedient.

Dec-02-08  Open Defence: <Ohio> compassion cannot be in defiance of the law, rather it is an extension of upholding it in both letter and spirit

OhioChessFan: I'm not sure there's a gentle spirit whereby you can stone someone.

My general take on my religious beliefs is I can easily defend them on intellectual grounds. I don't feel that affirming Christianity means ipso facto one has set their brain aside.

Dec-04-08  Open Defence: <I'm not sure there's a gentle spirit whereby you can stone someone.> no, of course not

Er... any idea what that is all about?

My first instinct is that these "Bondasimir" and "LT.Col Jung" people are actually just one person talking to his <sockpuppet> for comedic effect.

Then I thought maybe they are in the <Korean army> and like to play chess.

Anyways it's the most bizarre exchange I've ever read on that thread.

Which is saying a lot.

Happy New Year <King>

OhioChessFan: <WannaBee> I was hoping to be nominated for the gentleman and scholar Caissar.

<TD> I'm not real big on the whole Christmas thing, but I do enjoy the time off work and spending time with my family.

<FQ> maybe the Koreans have absorbed the sarcastic spirit of Hawkeye. Anyway, no soldier would dare to call an officer "Mister" so I will go out on a limb and suggest that's not really a conversation betwixt military personnel.
