<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

Penguincw: Looking good once again <WinKing>. :)

< WinKing: Thanks guys! Take your time <Penguincw>. I'm triple checking everything myself. >

Hehe, my problem is that I lack patience. I don't like to be kept waiting nor do I like to keep people waiting (could be some ADHD or anxiety problem, as these posts may suggest: OhioChessFan chessforum (kibitz #11578) and OhioChessFan chessforum (kibitz #11579)). You can tell because I don't hesitate to post something without double checking. I'll try to change my attitude for the future. Sorry for any problems...

Penguincw: Thanks to <chessmoron> and <OCF> for hosting, and also to <GE> and <WK> for helping.

Assuming everything is official:

Great performance by <WinKing> as he not only helped with 2 of the rounds, but he was rewarded with, 2 gold medals (and 2 runner-up medals) for his 2nd double crown (go ahead and say that twice). Also picking up a double crown is <lostemperor>, his 1st, as he now moves into 3rd place overall. Also congrats to <GE> for his gold to pass me on the overall list for 9th (grr). I also shouldn't forget <Karposian> who won a gold medal to <approach> me on the overall list. <chessmoron> also picks up 3 silver as he now has 36 non-gold medals compared to <WinKing>'s 34. Also congrats to everyone else who I failed to mention.

I'm going to assume the next tournament is Norway + Dortmund, but until then...

(I think I've had enough <cg> time for now)

Apr-26-15  Karposian: Thanks, <OCF> and <chessmoron> for another great contest.

Thanks also to <WinKing>, <Penguincw> and <GE> for posting/checking scores etc. You guys are doing a great job, as always.

Congrats to all the medal winners.

<Penguincw: I also shouldn't forget <Karposian> who won a gold medal to <approach> me on the overall list.>

Thanks, <Penguincw>. Next time it won't be <approach>, but <surpass> :)

Apr-26-15  Golden Executive: A lot of fun as usual. Thanks to the crew <OhioChessFan>,<chessmoron>,<WinKing> & <Penguincw> and congratulations to all the medal winners!

  OhioChessFan: ** Final Recap **

A strange ending to the contest, as <chessmoron> has forsaken his duties for a tryout with the Miami Heat. He apparently didn't hear Lebron is now in Cleveland. If he can just convince them he's Yao Ming, he might be on TV next year. <WinKing> stepped to the plate and amazingly enough ended up winning 2 gold medals, which was sheer coincidence. There was a 3 way tie amongst <chessmoron> <Karposian> and <lostemperor> for the gold medal in Moves Ranker, to be decided by an online game of Rock Scissors Paper. <lostemperor> won the quietest 2 golds in history, so quiet <OhioChessFan> is still not quite sure he did. <GE> brought good things to life with a gold in the Bonus ranker.

Thanks to everyone for playing and to <chessmoron> giving us 8 good rounds before abandoning ship. Thanks to <WinKing> who took advantage of the official scorer's table to pencil whip himself some gold medals. Thanks to <Penguincw> for double checking his way to admitting he didn't know what he was doing, which made many of the contestants in this event feel better.

Not sure what <chessmoron> has in mind for the next event, although it's 100% certain he is laying on the beach this very instant worrying about it.

Thanks for playing!

Apr-26-15  WinKing: lol...lmao! Great synopsis <OCF>.

Congratulations to all the winners!

Thanks to <chessmoron> for running & <OCF> for hosting this contest.

It's been awhile since I was at or near the top of a leaderboard. I almost forgot what it felt like. Looking forward to the next outing with all of you.
