<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

Penguincw: Great contest as always. Thanks to <cm> and <OCF> for making it possible, and <WK> for helping with the scoring.

As for the actual contest. Thank you, thank you <WinKing> for denying <Switch> another crack at the quadruple crown. Of course, as long as my feat is not repeated, I'll keep bragging about it, just like how Giri has an undefeated record against Carlsen. South Pole > North Pole. :) (but come on, it's like the only achievement I've ever achieve on this site)

Okay, I'll stop. But congrats on hitting the triple crown with a stunning last round performance <WK>. Also congrats to <Switch> and <GE> for each picking up 4 medals.

As for <Karposian>. You were doing well, but came away with just a bronze, just like me. However, at least my bronze wasn't shared. :)

I believe the next tournament is LCC. Until then...

Sep-01-15  Karposian: <Penguincw: As for <Karposian>. You were doing well, but came away with just a bronze, just like me. However, at least my bronze wasn't shared. :)>

A bronze medal is meagre consolation when I failed at my goal, which was to surpass you in the Hall of Fame.

Next time, <Penguincw>, next time..

Didn't you already said that? :p

< Apr-26-15 Karposian: ... <Penguincw: I also shouldn't forget <Karposian> who won a gold medal to <approach> me on the overall list.>

Thanks, <Penguincw>. Next time it won't be <approach>, but <surpass> :) >

Although you didn't participate at Norway, so that doesn't really count. But you did here. :)

Let's see how the other 2 contest turned out...

Sep-01-15  Karposian: <Let's see how the other 2 contest turned out...>

Ehh..let's not. It's best to forget about the other two contests :)

Sep-02-15  chessmoron: See you all in December for London Chess Classic.

And of course, congrats to all the winners.

  OhioChessFan: ** Final Recap **

With a big final round, <WinKing> ended up with gold in 3 rankers. Due to the Dreaded Curse of the Rabid Penguin, <Switch> held on for only one gold, along with 3 silvers. <GE> snuck by for one gold, along with 2 silvers and a bronze. <chessantosh> held on for one silver. <lostemperor> and <Robin01> had 2 bronze each. In an anticlimatic grudge match, both <Penguincw> and <Karposian> ended up with a bronze each. It's important to note that <Karposian> merely won a <shared> bronze. In a shocking display of honesty, <chessmoron> didn't cheat his way to much, just one bronze. Totally wasting home field advantage, <OhioChessFan> won nothing. Thanks to everyone for playing. Thanks to <chessmoron> for scoring, and to all who helped with checking scores. See you in December.
