<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

  OhioChessFan: ** Final Recap **

An exciting final round capped off a great tournament. All the Rankers were won by current Hall of Fame members. <Karposian> staggered across the finish line to hold on to the Gold in Moves Ranker, after his amazing 3 perfects/30 point round. <WinKing> made a late surge to pass <lostemperor> for the Bonus Ranker gold, and took home the Moves+Bonus Ranker gold as well. <Penguincw> took home the #1 Ranker gold. <Karposian> added a bronze to his gold. <WinKing> had a bronze to go with his 2 golds. <Penguincw> had a silver to go with his gold. Other medalists were <Switch> with three silvers after a furious last round rally, <lostemperor> with a silver and bronze, and <OhioChessFan> with a bronze.

Many thanks to <chessmoron> for running the show, <GE> for stepping in with scoring, <Switch> for watching the starting line, and <WinKing> for keeping an eye on scoring issues. There are a number of strong tournaments coming up, so I hope we can prevail upon <cm> to run some/all of them. Thanks for playing!

Apr-29-16  WinKing: Thanks <chessmoron> for another heart pounding contest! Thanks <OCF> for hosting & providing commentary!

Congratulations to all of the medal winners! Special grats to <Karposian> & <Penguincw> on each grabbing a gold. Not sure who won the other two...some schmuck. ;)

What I'd really like to know is how did <Karposian> get ahead of <Penguincw> in the ♔ <WINNER'S CORNER> ♔? Oops...did I say that?

Apr-29-16  Karposian: <WinKing: Congratulations to all of the medal winners! Special grats to <Karposian> & <Penguincw> on each grabbing a gold. Not sure who won the other two...some schmuck. ;)>

Well, that schmuck is pretty good :) Congrats on your two golds, <WinKing>. You scored 117 pts in total, a great result.

<What I'd really like to know is how did <Karposian> get ahead of <Penguincw> in the ♔ <WINNER'S CORNER> ♔? Oops...did I say that?>

Heh, heh. I'm sure that <Penguincw> will have noticed it!

Thanks <OCF> (brilliant recaps as usual) and <chessmoron> for another great contest. My only regret is that once again I failed to surpass my no.1 "frenemy", <the Pengster>, in the HOF.

Next time...next time...

Apr-29-16  WinKing: I just want to give <GE> a 'SHOUT OUT' thanks for filling in for <chessmoron>. :)

Penguincw: Thank you <chessmoron> for running this contest. Thanks to <OhioChessFan> for allowing your forum to be the host for this contest, and for the colour commentary. Also thanks to <Golden Executive> for helping out despite having to run another contest.

Congrats to <WinKing> for winning his 4th double crown (only <cm>, 5, has more). However, no one has more than his <7> multi-crowns. Also congrats to <Penguincw> (that would be me) and <Karposian> for both winning a gold medal, both using 2 different methods to victory: one had a <huge> round, the other put on their rally cap.

Congrats to the other medalists too.

<chessmoron>, is the Gashimov Memorial next?

Apr-29-16  Karposian: <Penguincw: Also congrats to <Penguincw> (that would be me)>

He's always such a humble guy, isn't he?

SwitchingQuylthulg: Thanks to <chessmoron>, <OhioChessFan> and <Golden Executive>, and congratulations to the winners and medalists!

lostemperor: Thanks contest manager <chessmoron> sponsor <OhioChessFan> and all assists. Congratulations all medal winners, <Karposian> <WinKing> and <Penguincw> for winning Gold. <Win-King> beating <lost-emperor> by one point in the Bonus Ranker. It has been a very competitive contest again!
Apr-30-16  Golden Executive: Thanks <chessmoron> for running this pretty exciting contest and <OCF> for hosting and commenting with such creativity!.

Congratulations to all the medal winners, especially to <WinKing> on his 2nd consecutive double crown!.

May-01-16  whiteshark: Thanks, like all previous speakers said.
