<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

Apr-27-16  Karposian: <Penguincw: Might be better just to defeat him the normal way.>

Yeah, good luck with that.

<Still mad about Sinquefield 2014?>

As long as you won't admit that I was robbed, yes I am still mad. Don't think I have forgotten past injustices.

And it wasn't so much the actual robbery, it was the way you handled it. You behaved like you were doing us all a big favor.

Injustices? More like "something that happens to everyone".

You seem like one of those people who have a bad day, and blame life for you having a bad day, claiming it's "injustice", even though bad days happen to everyone.

< And it wasn't so much the actual robbery, it was the way you handled it. You behaved like you were doing us all a big favor. >

Well, even though I was the one who committed the actual "robbery", <WinKing> or <Golden Executive> were going to do it if I hadn't beaten them.

But I'm not quite sure what you mean by "behaved like you were doing us all a big favor".

All I did was spot the error, and apologize, the latter I didn't have to do (apologizing, it's a Canadian thing).

I would continue the argument with actually presenting evidence, but then you'd think I'm ranting or whining, so I'll stop (unless you request it).

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 8 Recap **

While <chessmoron> gathers his thoughts about what round it is, <GE> stepped in with his patented Morse Code Scoring system. For the second round in a row, <Karposian> failed to score a single point. Adding to his distress, <Penguincw> took over first place in the #1 Ranker. <Karposian> still leads in Moves Ranker. <lostemperor> continues his lead in Bonus Ranker, and <WinKing> continues to lead Moves+Bonus Ranker.

Four different leaders in four different rankers. <Karposian> running on fumes and trying to stagger to the finish line. <lostemperor> trying to finish the job and win the Ranker he's led for so long. <Penguincw> rejecting the desperation label and hoping to win at least one gold and maybe more. <WinKing> hoping to medal in all four Rankers. All four Rankers are close enough it's still anyone's ball game. One round to go, for all the marbles, for all the bragging rights, for all the cyber fame and fortune, and the crowd is standing......
