<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 6 Recap **

<Karposian> had another perfect 10 that round. All of the other competitors are going to sign a petition asking <Penguincw> to quit challenging <Karposian> any more. In any case, <Karposian> has the outright lead in 3 Rankers. <lostemperor> has not been intimidated by <Karposian's> smack talk duing his hot streak and continues to lead the Bonus Ranker.

3 rounds to go, as the competitors are considering banding together to stop <Karposian> ala John Kasich and Ted Cruz. Will the conspiracy work? Will <Karposian> make it a 3rd round in a row with a perfect? Can <Penguincw> summon up some determination and focus to make a late surge? Stay tuned for the end of our scintillating contest. 3 rounds to go.

Apr-25-16  Karposian: <OCF: 3 rounds to go, as the competitors are considering banding together to stop <Karposian> ala John Kasich and Ted Cruz. Will the conspiracy work?>

It won't work. Despite efforts by the MPC Leadership (OCF & cm) to rig this contest, I will secure enough points to win after the first ballot. So there's not gonna be a brokered cee-gee convention. My opponents are all low-energy, especially <"Lyin' Peng">. He dared challenging me, and look what happened!

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 7 (Or 6, or 8) Recap **

The excitement is apparently too much for <chessmoron> as he can't decide just what round it is.

<Norway 2016: <Round 6> Result >

<Moves+Bonus Ranker - Through <Round 7>>

<Moves Ranker (# of 1st place Under/Over) - Through <Round 8>>

<WinKing> had a huge 21 point round, including a perfect 10, and has jumped into the Moves+Bonus Ranker lead. <Karposian> got a little overconfident, lost focus, and didn't score a point that round, while his allegedly desperate nemesis <Penguince> scored 14 while sneaking up to second in #1 Ranker. <Karposian> still leads in 2 Rankers. <lostemperor> continued his solid performance and still leads Bonus Ranker.

Can <chessmoron> figure out what round it is? Can <Karposian> overcome his lack of concentration to hold on to the lead in 2 rankers? Will <Penguincw> make more desperate picks that work out? Will someone tell <wordfunph> that Ted Cruz didn't name Carly Simon as his VP candidate? Stay tuned to our exhilirating contest for the answers to these and many other pressing questions. 2 rounds to go.

Penguincw: < OCF: ... <lostemperor> has not been intimidated by <Karposian's> smack talk duing his hot streak and continues to lead the Bonus Ranker. >

Who <is> intimidated?

< 3 rounds to go, as the competitors are considering banding together to stop <Karposian> ala John Kasich and Ted Cruz. >

That's a great idea. However, as proven in real life, it might not work out. Might be better just to defeat him the normal way.

< Karposian: Despite efforts by the MPC Leadership (OCF & cm) to rig this contest... >

Still mad about Sinquefield 2014?

< My opponents are all low-energy, especially <"Lyin' Peng">. >

I think low-time might be a better way to describe me. :) However, I am one of the most honest people I know, if you ask me. (thanks for calling me <Peng> though)

But if I'm Cruz (he is Canadian, but if I were American, I'd go democrat), who does that make you?

< #MakeThisContestGreatAgain >

...

< Seeing <Penguincw>'s round 7 predictions, I sense a smell of desperation. >

It seems like your definition of desperation seems to be the following:

1) Making adjustments to your strategy as the tournament goes along.

2) Choosing the same # of moves and result for each game (which happens all the time).

< He's not in a good place right now. >

Are you saying I'm not in heaven?

Wait, is this the Rogoff page?
