<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 7 Recap **

The mystery of Where in the World is <chess moron> deepens. Paparazzi at the Master’s snapped this picture of someone who looks suspiciously like <cm> talking to golf legend Gary Player.

http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:...

<OhioChessFan> was shocked to discover that nothing bigger than a 150x103 image would fit <chess moron> on his computer monitor! The usually unflappable <WinKing> was even put out enough to angrily declare, “This isn’t the best thing to happen this week! I‘m not filling in any more.”. Of course, he couldn’t set aside his Polly DoGood mindset for long, and came back, pleading with <OCF> for another chance. <OCF> said, "Not tonight, I have a headache." Re: “This isn’t the best thing to happen to me this week", oddly enough, that is what <lost emperor> said about his predictions this round.

As for our contest, <Switch> continues his incredible quest for a Quadruple Crown. <Penguincw> continues to chase him in Moves and #1 Ranker, while <WinKing> is closing the gap in the Bonus Ranker.

In other news, <Penguincw> offered this unsolicited prediction advice: “Always pick the last place player when they play the first place player. I can’t identify the last time that worked, but it works every time. Except every time I can think of.” <Count Wedgemore> has started a very touching bromance with <frogbert> <Richard Taylor> and <key pusher>, to stake his claim for the Pollyanna award. In a similar vein, <GE> pretended to feel sorry for someone who missed a round in his contest, which isn‘t fooling anyone. <OhioChessFan> made a shocking effort to be nice, and it inevitably backfired immediately, as he tried to be kind to <BOSTER> and of course withdrew his kindness 30 seconds later. <OCF> vows to never try to be nice again. He was heard muttering to himself, “What were you thinking, trying to be nice? Just be yourself, just be yourself, just be yourself.” Of course, <Winky> tried to encourage <OCF> by saying, “Oh, keep trying to be nice. It always works out in the end. Win one for the Gipper!” On the bright side, <OCF> did pick a correct game outcome for Aronian for the first time in the last two tournaments.

Hard to believe how close we are to the end of the contest. <Switch> is working feverishly, as we type, to calculate the various scenarios to take home the highly coveted Quadruple Crown. <Penguincw> is sticking pins in a <Switch> kewpie doll in hopes of derailing someone else from achieving that honor. <OCF> is going to sleep 10 hours due to the exhaustion of scoring. Stay tuned for the exciting finish to our contest. Only 2 rounds to go!
