<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

Sport journalism is considered the lowest form of human existence where I come from. Glad you didn't fall into that pit.

Why not try submitting some freelance stuff to espn.go.com or other sports websites?

Dec-13-18  thegoodanarchist: < Diademas:

In "bad writing speak" this would be rephrased to read

<<<<<>>>>Sport journalism is considered the lowest form of human existence, according to the people of Norway>

Dec-13-18  Count Wedgemore: <Diademas> is correct. Sports journalism is not highly regarded in Norway. It's seen as suitable for someone not good enough to make it in "real" journalism.

My personal opinion: <OCF> is much too intelligent for being a hack writer of sports stuff. His intellect is more suited for writing novels, or essays on religion and philosophy, or related themes.

OhioChessFan: Everywhere I go, in the library now, across from a woman who's been talking nonstop for 45 minutes, there are women talking on cell phones. They have trained themselves to talk if they are awake. These same women are befuddled why men aren't interested in them. Huh, maybe it's because <you never shut up>! Funny how men don't want to be around women who never stop talking.

<Ohio Christmas Fan>

Agree on "Oh Holy Night" as best song, and the <John Berry> version is indeed beautiful. I especially liked how he didn't exclude any of the verses to make the song "shorter."

You won't hear anyone hitting the "High F" on this version, but I guess he figured "I'm Der Bingle. I didn't get where I am today by hitting all the high notes."

OhioChessFan: <moro> it's particularly the under 30 women that I see. There was a recent news story that over-attachment to cell phones leads to depression. I've been on record for years that there is an epidemic of mental health problems awaiting us, so that story didn't surprise me a bit.

Sounds about right:

Woman: I would like to go shopping?
Man: No

Man: Sex?
Woman: Can not, I have a headache

moronovich: Good morning <OCF> ! Unfortunately I have no objection to the above): And I am afraid epidemic is the right word… Teens laying on their beds and sharing selfies instead of trying to explore the best thing of all. This thing is called LIFE. When I take the bus I see people just sitting there staring at the same videos with cats and what have you.And something in me just want to raise from the seat and shout something like "Life is what happens when you are busy being somewhere ells.Wake up,for Gods or your own sake!"And I could tell them hundreds and hundreds of episodes from my own journey in life were we actually did communicate with each other.Face to face.
Dec-30-18  Count Wedgemore: I see the same. Young people (and even some people that are not so young anymore) have more or less stopped interacting with each other in a normal way, face to face. I am not surprised that studies are beginning to show how these changes in behavioral patterns lead to a dramatic increase in depression and other mental and psychological problems.

I'd also like to add that we do not yet have sufficient information as to the physical dangers as well. Excessive use of cellular phones and the likes, may lead to brain damage. There are studies that are beginning to show that radiation from mobile phones may cause brain tissue damage and increased risks of certain types of cancer. Especially these brand new 5G phones; smartphones, etc. may be much more dangerous than people think. I think we will know much more about this in the coming years after more research has been done.

This might have made a greater impression on me if I wasn't reading it on the internet... ;)
