Sep-23-18  Boomie: <Susan Freeman: I have a really cute picture of Dan playing chess with me on the beach. He was about 13. He had white and I had black. I wish I could add something to be able to post it.>

If you have the picture on line somewhere, just load it and copy the shortcut. Then paste that into a post here and Bob's your uncle. OK we all have an uncle named Bob, but still...

Ruh Roh. I don't know from IPhones. If you're on a social site, you can copy it there perhaps. Where is <Alien Math> when we really need her? She is a wizard at solving these kinds of problems.

Sep-24-18  technical draw: Hello <Susan Freeman>. I usually charge a $20 humor fee but since I will be leaving the site in 4 days (after 15 years) you get a pass. God bless you and I wish you all the best and please receive my condolences for the passing of your son.....TD

Annie K.: <Susan> In the long run, it would be best if Sargon created a directory for such pictures on cg itself, so they wouldn't have to rely on external hosting.

Meanwhile, I have temporarily uploaded the photo here: https://tinyurl.com/yb6dlvcd

If you change your mind about it, just delete this post. :)

Wow, you really are putting yourself on the front lines with that statement, but thanks for it. Hopefully you will notice the following comment/request before all the other gripes and requests flock here instead of to the member support forum.

According to the policy that the late Daniel promulgated, it is not appropriate to complain about violations perpetrated by other users, OTHER THAN by posting a whistle blower slip. I have done the latter on at least four occasions since the passing of your son, but so far as I can tell, with no result.

If these whistleblower slips are routinely ignored, then it is only natural that offended users will even more resort to flame wars on the kibitz pages. I hate to see that, and I don't do it.

Susan Freeman: I hear you. I will check into it. I think we were more relaxed thinking everyone was upset about my Daniel’s passing. Hopefully things will normalize.

Susan Freeman: My personal feeling was that the entire site was in shock and morning. People react in unusual ways.
Sep-27-18  JimNorCal: Mourning, too LOL!
OK, apologies for being a spelling Nazi, specially since I fail often. Sometimes with the assistance of AutoCucumber.

Sounds fair to be forgiving of short term behavior during rocky times. Sargon will not hesitate to crack the whip ongoing, I'm sure.

Along with the World Junior, we are missing the British Championship from that time. Is it better to post requests and suggestions at the Support Forum or do you like having them here?

Sep-27-18  Boomie: <JimNorCal: the Support Forum>

Since the inmates at Charenton (poor Marat) took over the Support Forum, it hasn't been practical to use it for suggestions. This is an excellent place for them. There is at least some sense of progress here. Plus Susan is a delightful poster.
