Would it be possible to post some <useful national mental health help links/hotlines> (suicide prevention, gambling, anger management, AA, domestic abuse, depression/despair, self-improvement/reflection, communication methods, personality profiles, homelessness, aging, Alzheimer's, overcoming introversion, home gun safety, sedentary lifestyle adjustments, anti-racism, raising children, character education/honesty, good Samaritan, etc.) there or somewhere rather visible? Our members look at certain pages a lot over the years and it might really help someone needy sometime. I think there is a 988 number now (haven't dialed it -- yet, ha! ha!).

I think you need somebody with <Daniel>'s skill set to manage it - willing to operate with a tight budget, quick and nimble code skills, and a passion for the game. Plus a wise member of the community, with perspective.

I think they've done a pretty good job as far as I can tell, especially under the circumstances.(*)

But I am concerned about the site's legacy, and I know the site has many features that haven't been recovered. Like a child, you do your best, but there comes a time when you have to send them out the door on their own.

(*) I think some better guidance might help. E.g. live games. There was quite a lot of effort there, and it seems to have been shelved. I think restoring the one game style of <Daniel> would have been better - more suited to the <CG> style. But I'm repeating myself...

The servers themselves, being hardware, are essentially obsolete the moment they're driven off the showfloor. It was the codebase, and community, that held the true value for <CG>.
