 | | HeMateMe: Hey, my lap top was able to access CG.COM tonight, first time in weeks. I didn't do anything tech-wise, anything differently. I've been using this same computer for three years without any issues logging on to any website until here, recently. Hopefully it's fixed. I had gone to google and keyed in "How do I get rid of 403 forbidden?" The solution offered was to delete all cookies in your cache. I did that but still couldn't log in. Anyway, I hope it's working now. Thanks for your support, <Steven and Susan>. |

If you see the 403 again, try googling "how to remove VPN usage for Chrome"(or which ever browser you're using at the time). There's usually an "Extensions" icon(puzzle piece on the top right corner of Chrome) to turn on/off the VPN.

You have not responded to multiple messages. This is no way to treat a member whose account is under steady assault. Nobody wants to hear complaints, but feedback shows a business where it has serious problems. What's more, when activated, my personal forum should be seen by the public in the chess forums column just like perfidious' hateful personal forum as he continues to cyberstalk FTB at will. He should have been stopped from harassing members a decade ago. |

Guterres is the Secretary General of the UN, and his statements about the hottest geopolitical issue on earth fall squarely within his job responsibilities. Criticizing him or even calling for him to resign on the basis of such statements is normal accountability, not cancel culture. If Alejandro Mayorkas, the Secretary of Homeland Security, said all borders should be abolished and the Border Patrol disbanded, there would be calls for him to resign. (In fact, he'd lose his job on the spot.) It would be absurd to call that cancel culture. If Pete Buttigieg, the Secretary of Transportation, said that Amtrak should have racially segregated dining cars, there would be calls for him to resign. (In fact, he'd lose his job on the spot.) It would be absurd to call that cancel culture. Public officials do not have unfettered discretion to share their opinions without facing any consequences. They never have, they never will, they never should. (Also, it's worth looking at the actual power dynamics here. Israel, which has been on the wrong side of more 150:1 votes at the UN than all other countries combined, calling on the General Secretary to resign is like me threatening to rob Fort Knox with a water pistol. Fort Knox is in no danger from me; Guterres is in no danger from Israel.) But then I recognized potential of <kp> and invited him to meditate with me and my high horse and learn non duality interpretation of teachings of jesus (philosophy of non personal god Absolute) and <kp> meditated with such earnestness , determination ...and rest is history.
