HeMateMe: People should have done a little homework and submitted (nominated) more posts to choose from. Instead, we have just two. Perhaps we should have printed the candidate posts once here, instead of just providing links. Some of the stuff is very interesting.

One of the posts I nominated gave a quick synopsis of the 6 Carlsen defeats in 2014. Informative and topical.

Or, a good post can just be funny, like the one liner attributed to PhonyBenoni. There's a lot of good stuff out there.

OhioChessFan: <YouWon: The remarkable thing is that it was exactly ten years ago that I previously won a "Best Avatar" Caissar award in a shared first place tie with User: tamar.>

That was 10 years ago? I don't recall the tie, although I do remember <tamar> specifically mentioning that his avatar was "off the shelf" of available pics when he became a premie. Doing a quick search now to verify my rememberances.....

<tamar: <cu8sfan> Yep, B.A. two years running. Not any credit to me of course. Marcel DuChamp painted it, and I just scooped it first off chessgames shelf.>

Sneaky: I vote for <Phony Benoni>'s Shirov vs S Sulskis, 2014 "Alas, before the post mortem the gods have placed the game." Haha, very witty twist on the old adage.

Most helpful? Just look around you! I vote for <Annie K.>

Jan-11-15  FairyPromotion: OK, maybe I'll sound stupid, but. . .

< YouRang: However, the avatar is a picture of "Lurch" (of Addams Family fame), and any resemblance he has with me is mere coincidence.>

I genuinely believed that your avatar was actually an "evil" caricaturization of Bobby Fischer. Am I the only one who thought that? :-I

Jan-12-15  WinKing: I vote for <Annie K.> for funniest poster .

I vote for <RandomVisitor> for most constructive.

Congratulations to them both!
