Jun-22-18  Keyser Soze: <optimal play: It looks as if those who picked France and Denmark to progress from group C got it right>

It was the expected result anyway. But you guys are doing a pretty good job so far, making hard for everybody . I never saw a tough Australia like that before.

Jun-22-18  optimal play: <Keyser Soze: ... I never saw a tough Australia like that before.>

2006

We got through to the 2nd round of 16 and were unlucky to lose 1-0 to Italy (the eventual champions).

So far in this tournament a 2-1 loss to France and a 1-1 draw with Denmark is a creditable effort and if the Socceroos can maybe score a win over Peru, who are having a terrible World Cup, we can finish on a high and boost our ranking.

WannaBe: 17 Prediction players (total), 17 picked Germany to advance.

There will be no perfect score (16) in the first round of prediction.

Out of that group, 12 took MEX, 5 took SWE, Sweden is also the current team that have the least love to advance.

However, if Serbia (3) or Japan (2) can pull it off...

Diademas: The match England - Belgium can be a strange one. Both teams will get an easier path if they lose.
Jun-27-18  Dr Winston OBoogie: Not true really. If we lose we'll get Brazil in the QF and if we win we'll get a team playing better than Brazil <right now>. There's no easy games left, no "hard games" either, I'm English and I couldn't care less who we get... I see nothing to be scared of! Just watched the Brazil v Serbia highlights and whilst Brazil looked sharp they hardly looked brilliant. If you think England - or any other team left in the tournament - will give Gabriel Jesus or Geymar the same space 30 yards from goal you're not paying attention. England won't win though I know that 100%.

Keep repeating the mantra.. England. Won't. Win :)

Hola! :)

Jun-27-18  Keyser Soze: < Diademas: The match England - Belgium can be a strange one. Both teams will get an easier path if they lose.>

I said the same about Brazil tonight. We would get a better draw getting second. At least Germany was out. England would be way easier than Belgium in quarterfinals. I will be surprised if Belgium not getting the first spot anyway.
