Nov-17-20  Big Pawn: <Trump was defeated.>

No he wasn't. The election is far from over and it's looking like Trump could flip a few states and upset the whole apple cart.

It's time to close the rogoff page down. Delete that sucker and restore it to a normal chess page.

There's nothing of value being posted there anyway.

saffuna: A search of <big pawn>'s posts on Rogoff reveals 2,100 pages. (Pages, not posts.) Plus at least 500 pages with his other usernames.

Translation: "My Great Alpha Male lost."

Nov-17-20  realdumptrump: Daniel allowed the cancer to fester for far too long.

Does anybody think that <BP> ever had any concern for the site, other than to parasitically utilize it as a platform for his own purposes?

Ouch.

The children are throwing a hissy fit. This is the last ditch effort to manipulate <Susan> into not restoring the rogoff page.

Chess players are a weird bunch of people. Lots of quirks. They can't handle change.

The fact is, it's long past time to get this website together and tie up some loose ends. This stuff can't be procrastinated forever. Well, actually it's quite easy to procrastinate forever.

I've posted on the Rogoff page a lot over the years, but you don't see me crying like a little <Snowflake> about my posts being vaporized.

I wish we could see it happen.

I had a car once that I loved, but I eventually had to junk it. It killed me to make that decision but I had to do it. My mechanic got a kick out of it. He took my car away, (Sold it to him for like $200 for scrap metal) and a few days later, he gave me a picture of my car after it had been crushed in the junk yard. It was about 6 inches thick lol.

Killed me.

I'd like to see the Rogoff page after it's been crushed in the same way.

saffuna: Again, at least 25,000 posts on Rogoff by <big pawn>. Up until August of this year.

Most of the conservatives left during this year as it became clearer and clearer that Trump is incompetent and was going to lose.

Susan Freeman: Many people want this site. But will they preserve it. Will they respect the legacy For example
The Queen Elizabeth 2 is in Dubai. I always wondered if they would cherish it. They did a good job in preserving the dignity.
I think the same of CG.
Anyway. You know you love me. Lol
Nov-17-20  realdumptrump: <CG> is the loser in this affair. Again.

chancho: A page was created to move the 61 memorable games controversy debate away from the Fischer page.

M61MG Wrestler

It's still active to this day:

M61MG Wrestler chessforum

Or, just transfer the Rogoff content to a new page or a forum page.

I wouldn't mind it going to my forum.

Nov-17-20  realdumptrump: Let's see what <bippy = BP = Big Pawn> really thinks the site is about:

<When I started posting non-chess stuff to this website, I focused on posts related to God. No one was really doing that here back then, but now it's common. That's a good thing. Emboldening fellow Christians is my central aim.>

Susan Freeman: The site is about chess.

saffuna: As I said, closing Rogoff at this moment is OK.

Five years of gloating and boasting by the Trump (and Putin) sycophants, believing he was unbeatable. Now they are utterly humiliated, little left to discuss on the #1 issue.

Nov-17-20  Big Pawn: < Susan Freeman: There ya go <Chancho>. I like that.> Probably better off to delete it. The google bot comes to index the pages on a website from time to time, taking snapshots of new pages and new content. But if most of the new content is coming from the rogoff page or wherever it moves to, then the bot sees that, makes note of it and comes back to that page over and over again, because it learns that there's tons of new content there all the time.

That steals the bot from the rest of the website and keeps it hostage at the political page. If there are 200,000 pages of political posts, then the google bot starts to get confused about what this site is really about and that can hamper search engine rankings to some degree. While CG may rank fairly well for a number of chess related keywords, it would explode in rankings if the entire site was more topical and relevant to chess.

Hundreds of thousands of politics pages confuses the bot and causes it to index off-topic content more than the on-topic content.

Best for the chess would be to delete all of the rogoff flame wars and troll wars and let Google spend more indexation on chess related pages.

Nov-17-20  Big Pawn: It's a huge resource waste to archive all of those troll posts on rogoff. Aren't there about half a million?

That's insane. Throwing money away.

Imagine wasting your money and resources preserving a ten year old flame war?

Just to make 4 butthurt political trolls happy?

Uhhhhh...the majority of posts at "The Free Speech Zone" are also political.

Nov-17-20  realdumptrump: And did <bippy> plan to continue as a member of <CG> in good standing?

No, no was ready to bolt:

< Big Pawn: < thegoodanarchist: Hey <BP>, when the red-letter announcement appears on your page, telling you your membership will expire in 30 days, can you please give us a head's up?> Will do.

After that, I will be posting exclusively on Offensive Truth.

I've got it broken up into categories and you guys can post a comment on any part of the site.>

I think we 4, if that's how many we are, are extremely pleased with the election, and politics at the moment.

Nov-17-20  realdumptrump: Want more details?

<My paid membership here is going to expire soon. When that happens, this forum will be shut down.

Therefore, if you haven't already, go to https://offensivetruth.com/politics/

and sign up. That will be the future free speech zone. Quite a few Elite Posters have already made accounts over there. Takes a minute. Register, choose a name, click the link in the email, log back in.

Piece of cake.

That website will pick up steam once this forum is closed. I will post there all the time instead of here, so you folks will get used to dropping by there to see what's new. All the regulars will have a place to <truly> say what they want and not have to worry about being censored.

I'm not planning on making it a big website, making it popular, driving traffic to it or anything like that. It's just a place I made for us, so we can have a place for the Elite Posters to communicate away from the bottom feeders.>

Big Pawn chessforum (kibitz #5072)

This guy has been coddled for far too long on <CG>, sowing seeds of discord with nary a chessic contribution all the while.

None. Nada. De rien.
