At first the idea of M61MG sounded interesting and kinda plausible. With Fischer you can always expect the unexpected. However, the unspeakably awful writing sample on page 5 is enough to bury it for me. |

But, I thought of Tirce when I read a story that went far and wide in the blogosphere this week about one Marc Stephens, who used nearly the same tactics Trice does to silence his critics: http://rhysmorgan.co/2011/11/threat... Once this blog was posted, it spread like wildfile on the net, resulting in multiple articles in the mainstream press being posted about these despicable practices. Trice was damn lucky that stories about his attempts to stifle free speech were not as widely spread among bloggers and never made the mainstream press. |

Just now <Joshka> has reintroduced the topic and once again it threatens to create an unpleasant environment there. On this page, unpleasantness is tolerated (and expected) in regards to the book. Some will recall that a couple users were actually prevented from posting on the Fischer page by the CG.com admins. This forum was the alternative. . |

They are holding on to it longer than Trice has (Trice put the nail in the coffin of his involvement with the chess community when he took down the Gothic Chess web site a few weeks ago; while he still owns the domain, the page now points to a GoDaddy domain parking page) Joshka, IMDay: You guys lost. My 61 Memorial Games was yet another Trice scam; Fischer had nothing to do with it. Stop kicking the dead horse already. Holding on to this and starting a years-dead flame war again just makes you two look foolish. |
