 | | Susan Freeman: <realdumptrump>. Yes it is ultimata. The pleural. I took five years of Latin. The debate about sock puppets has been answered many times. Please ..... |
|
| Feb-14-21 | | George Wallace: You say ultimata, I say ultimato - let's call the whole thing off. <The debate about sock puppets has been answered many times> Yes, that's been clear for a long time now. I don't know what the complaining is all about. No matter which way it goes, the same people complain and complain and complain. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Complain, complain, complain. |

 | | Willber G: <Susan>, while you're here can you provide any info on the Stockfish problems that a number of us are having? |
|
| Feb-14-21 | | George Wallace: <Willber G: <Susan>, while you're here can you provide any info on the Stockfish problems that a number of us are having?> Why even ask this kind of question?
Let's try a guess instead:
Let's see. I bet <Susan> reported this to the tech team helping her and they will get back to her when progress is made. Let's see how close that is to the answer <Susan> gives about this extremely insignificant "problem". |
|
| Feb-14-21 | | Z legend of CG: It's all that unfounded latin that's ruining the country. Please, we need better spoke English round these parts. |
|
| Feb-14-21 | | Z legend of CG: <Susan> just so you know, the previous point wasn't about socks, but about how another flat-out issued an ultimatum to you. Which was delivered on, after encouragement. |

 | | Willber G: <George Wallace:
Why even ask this kind of question?>
Yes, I'm wondering why you did that. |
|
| Feb-14-21 | | Z legend 000000001: Me too!
(Not really - the guy's a *****)
[ed- message deleted for being unfoundedly too nice] |
|
| Feb-14-21 | | realdumptrump: Did <Susan> give <bippy> (or any of his socks) administrative powers? I wonder... it would explain a lot.

 | | Susan Freeman: The tech team will get on it in AM on Monday.
I am a nice lady and allow them Sundays off, :) and also slow days on Saturdays.
Unless there is an emergency, of course. And this is not.:) |

| Feb-15-21 | | Z legend 000000001: If restricted, this would be the one to count:
<<Daniel Freeman> understood community work and he built a chess site that proved it. If the site eventually collapses because he is no longer behind it, I doubt that anyone else will be able to improve on his vision.> http://chessforallages.blogspot.com... |
|
| Feb-15-21 | | realdumptrump: It once was a community, now it's something else... |
|
| Feb-15-21 | | realdumptrump: (A theology?!) |
|
| Feb-15-21 | | Caissanist: <Susan Freeman: Why all this unfounded negativity> LOL, chess players are like that. I didn't think I myself was all that negative, TBH, I still like the site despite the problems. There's really no question that it doesn't work as well as it once did, but this is still the best games discussion platform around. Many thanks to <JFQ> and the rest of the corrections team for tackling the backlog! I don't come here all that often anymore so I didn't know how much better that was, I will go back to submitting slips now. Peace and love everyone. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen:
<Caissanist> Glad you are in good spirits brah. I need to emphasize more strongly that I have processed a very small number of correction slips. The person who I know for sure corrected many of them is <Stonehenge>. I suspect most of the rest have been processed by <Tabanus>, <MissScarlett>, and <Chessical>. Thanks to these gentlemen, the dusty recesses of the ancient correction slip vault were fearlessly wrest open. |

 | | MissScarlett: <I need to emphasize more strongly that I have processed a very small number of correction slips. > Did I see you mention the figure of thousands the other day!? It was only a few hundred. |
|
Feb-15-21
 | | Susan Freeman: <MissScalett> Fo' sure. It was 1000's a few months ago. |
|
Feb-15-21
 | | MissScarlett: So where did they all go between Annie's departure and the volunteers stepping into the breach? |
|
Feb-15-21
 | | Tabanus: It was about 250 unprocessed slips 10 weeks ago. Now 50. I've had "Our server is temporarily overloaded" the whole day today, on tids but not pid and gids. |
