Oct-16-18  WinKing: I don't know <CW> it says recovering not recovered. So I am guessing he is still recovering now. But I suppose it could have been at that time(2016) he was recovering.
Oct-16-18  zanzibar: <WinKing> there is some ambiguity as to the time frame, either an aside about his current condition, or as a qualifier to show his dedication to politicking.

I tend to believe he should have fully recovered by now.

Unlike the USA - ha!

Oct-16-18  Count Wedgemore: Perhaps you're right, <WK>. I read the post as, although he was recovering from surgery at the time, <sargon> was out canvassing for Trump before the election two years ago.

But I may have interpreted it all wrong.

Oct-16-18  WinKing: He was either canvassing by phone or from a wheelchair if this happened in 2016. Come on <Sargon> tell us the whole story. You got our curiosity up now.
Oct-16-18  Nisjesram: <Keyser Soze: Personally I'm liking more this new moderation now..>

<Count Wedgemore: Me too, <Keyser> I'm kind of warming up a little to <Sargon> now..>

Hahaha

Hey guys , i love Trump too. :)

What do you think of me now ?

Hahaha :)

.

Oct-16-18  Count Wedgemore: <Hey guys , i love Trump too. :) What do you think of me now ?>

You are growing a bit on me and <Keyser> now, <Nisjesram> :)

Oct-16-18  thegoodanarchist: < Tabanus: <Nope. Daniel tried to be fair to all parties.>

Yes, I agree to that. Only that he did not succeed, but ended up with a bunch of trumpers he could not handle.>

The worst party, by far, JUDGING BY MULTIPLE ACCOUNT DELETIONS, is a Trump hater and regularly posts to that effect.

Your post simply ignores this reality.

Also, did you ever consider that DF could handle Trump supporters just fine, thank you very much?

But he had no reason to do so because, by comparison, the Trump hater went far beyond anything any Trump supporter has done on this site!

Oct-16-18  thegoodanarchist: < zanzibar: <Robed.Bishop> I disagree, after a quick glance.

You're backing the wrong team - <OCF> and his crew doesn't represent the "good" guys.>

You are in no way equipped to judge "good" and "bad".

<Just check out <thegoodneega/thegoodneeger> episode,>

Okay, I see now. PC snowflake can't stand edgy humor.

So let's try sober wisdom instead:

"Judge not, lest ye be judged."

<And consider the flack an otherwise uninvolved <CG> member took just for helping me find those old posts.>

So he got called out for helping you in your attempt to suppress free speech. This is not "flack", this is called "accountability".

If someone comes to my forum bragging about how they are in favor of free speech and against banning, and then contradicts this claim through ACTIONS (which speak louder than words), then the person should expect to be held accountable for the discrepancy between his assertion and his action.

<Anyways, a sorry racist chapter with basically the same crew as those complaining the loudest today about being "misunderstood".>

Um, you don't know what racism is, obviously. Just because you operate under a misconception doesn't mean the rest of us should stick our heads up our butts the way you have.

<PS- Did you review the <thegoodneega> episode I cited - in the interest of fairness and all that.>

More to the point, did you review it? Please show what posts from that sock pupper where racist (hint: you can't. You can only hurl false accusations. But then, that is part of your "skill" set.)

Thank you , sir.

Finally, you are lightening up :)

Respect for that.

Tabanus: With 80% trumpers, 1 leftist kibitzer gets 4 trumpers at his throat.

Sam Sloan for President in 2020! With Dr. No as Vice President candidate, and Sargon as the chief campaigner. Gens una sumus.

Oct-17-18  Bureaucrat: <tga: If someone comes to my forum bragging about how they are in favor of free speech and against banning, and then contradicts this claim through ACTIONS (which speak louder than words), then the person should expect to be held accountable for the discrepancy between his assertion and his action.>

1. I did not brag about anything. I supported something you had done.

2. I showed someone a search result. The purpose was not to get anyone banned. It was, really, <nothing>. Even your hero, <BP>, agreed with me that it was nothing.

3. Because of that <nothing> you launched a hysterical attack on me in your forum, in my forum, and in yet another forum (BP's).

4. Then you put me on ignore, to stop me from defending myself in your forum against your idiotic allegations. You also deleted a number of my posts, like a true champion of free speech.

And you call yourself "the most honest poster on the internet".

Oct-17-18  MrMelad: Came here to view some Carlsen games from the Euro club cup but found nothing. The tournament is not even mentioned. This site used to be a source for information but now lags seriously behind. I found myself googling for "chess games" once again (previous search occurred sometime during 2005).

But reading some messages from this forum I now understand why Euro cup games are missing from the DB - the admins have much more important stuff to do like banning users, picking up public quarrels with kibitzers (<OCF> of all people? Really?) and proudly declaring their political affiliation. Who needs chess games with all this fun, right?

Wrong.

Oct-17-18  rogge: For looking at games, chessbomb, chess24 and 2700chess might be better options these days ;)
Oct-17-18  thegoodanarchist: < Tabanus: With 80% trumpers, 1 leftist kibitzer gets 4 trumpers at his throat.>

Oh boo hoo. Are you going to cry now?

When a person jumps into a political or a religious discussion, on line or IRL, they should know that it can get heated.

It's not like it hasn't happened the other way, with multiple Leftists or Atheists ganging up on a lone Trumper or Christian or what have you.

And not just on cg.com either! All day, every day, all around the www!

And look, I went through the same thing you went through, <Tab>. I was upset and faced a sort of crisis in my life, when confronted with the fact that, without objectivity, my Leftist world view morality was no better than the worst kind of depravity.

Only, it wasn't other kibitzers - it was from myself! When I tried to establish logical underpinnings for the atheist world view I intended to adopt, my own reasoning faculties gave me the refutation. That was about 16~17 years ago.

And I see that now, with the most dedicated and ardent proponent of the OMV argument suspended indefinitely, you are actively participating on the Rogoff page, knowing you won't have to face the logical contradiction of your beliefs. You have numbers on your side there now, so it is a safe space for you.

Oct-17-18  MrMelad: <rogge> Thanks, I had no idea you can view the games on 2700chess, and with stockfish analysis too!

I guess we came a long way since frogbert's live rating website :)

Oct-17-18  rogge: You're welcome :) And kudos to <frogbert> for starting the whole live rating thing :)

Tabanus: <tga> Did you lose your mind 16-17 years ago? That could explain your posts. My posts in the Rogoff forum are only temporary. There's nothing else to do here now but discuss politics. No live games, no new events, no game uploads, no slip processing, auto repeated POTDs or GOTDs, whatever. No chess, really.

I'm an atheist, like about 1/2 the Norwegian population. But, according to the link above, in the US I'm therefore worse than a muslim, a gay, a latino, a mormon, a jew, and a catholic. Plus worse than a woman. And according to a respected friend of you here in CG, about equal to a pedophilic Hitler supporter. Please, tell me again where my safe space is.

Tabanus: Never mind, I can handle it.

What about other potential CG customers around the world? There are many gays, atheists, muslims, latinos, mormons, jews, catholics and (dare I say) women who could pay membership. Plus that the Trump type conservatism is not very popular outside the US. Perhaps hiding things away in the Rogoff forum is not enough to make <them> feel welcome?

There's one common denominator. Chess.

And what is CG supposed to do? Put up a big sign in the Home page like " We welcome gays, atheists, muslims, latinos, Jews, mormons, Catholics and women" and "we ban Trumpers, Christians and Big Pawns?"

saffuna: How about "We welcome all who will be respectful to chess players and other posters"?

I found the repeated use of overt homosexual imagery and the insinuations that a poster caused DF's death to be indefensible.

Oct-17-18  SugarDom: So you're liberal message for tolerance is only for your own kind?

The site tolerated people who applauded 911.

Oct-17-18  SugarDom: And by the way, I'm not criticizing chessgames. I'm feeling confident they are going to be fair.

I'm just making fun of Tabanus and Saffuna.
