Tabanus: I'm not criticizing CG either. Daniel kept an open house where everybody was welcome. But in an open house anything can happen. It did happen.

What next? CG surely has plans.

Check It Out: <MrMelad: Came here to view some Carlsen games from the Euro club cup but found nothing. The tournament is not even mentioned. This site used to be a source for information but now lags seriously behind. I found myself googling for "chess games" once again (previous search occurred sometime during 2005). But reading some messages from this forum I now understand why Euro cup games are missing from the DB - the admins have much more important stuff to do like banning users, picking up public quarrels with kibitzers (<OCF> of all people? Really?) and proudly declaring their political affiliation. Who needs chess games with all this fun, right?

Wrong.>

According to Chessgames they are close to putting up a bunch of new content:

<Oct-16-18 chessgames.com: <HeMateMe: [..] I haven't renewed my premium yet on this terrific chess site because the Russian Super finals are not yet here. I just assumed no one really cared. Yet, the database is the key feature of this site.>

Point well made. We are working on adding more relevant games and tournaments—including the one you just mentioned—almost immediately.>

Here are the events they need to post off the top:

1. Russian Superfinals
2. British Championships
3. European Club Cup

The puzzle of the day needs fresh input as well. It is frequently a puzzle that was POTD merely a week ago.

<Chessgames> I’d prefer to see more communication about your plans for this type of work and less about the political preferences of your admin. I also think the work to make the posting more positive and less trollish should happen more behind the scenes. The public rebuke of <Ohio Chess Fan> was embarrassing for the site (in my opinion, of course).

Whoever is posting as <Chessgames.com> should be completely professional in tone and word.

34th European Club Cup (Women) (2018)

More coming presently. We're going to post so many friggin' new tournaments and games that you'll be saying:

"Please stop, Chessgames.com! Too much <winning>!"...

Oct-17-18  Count Wedgemore: <Sargon> No! No! We'll never gonna get tired of winning. Believe me, believe me.

Oct-18-18  Dr Winston OBoogie: Looks like a certain stalker doesn't want to be reminded of his own madness by complaining that my bio breaks rules #3 and #5 - even though they're <his words!>. You couldn't make this up, lol.

My bio will stay as it is. Everytime he addresses me I'll add to it.

Sargon. If you'd like to point out which part of the bio breaks rules #3 and #5 I'd be glad to point out that they're not <my posts> they're the creep who's complaining about it!

If you've anything you'd like to say please email me :)

Tabanus: Great! But hey, what about the Norwegian Championship (2018)!? Or "ch-NOR (2018)", is that the new style. Beware of slips :)

Tabanus: <Sargon> If no protests from outside the stalker group: to comply with earlier style, and for the sake of <clarity>, I would scrap the number ("105th") in front, and spell it out: "British Championship (2018)". The "105th" should rather be added to the description and bio.

I also think the tiebreak games (at least when few and played right after at the same place, such as 68th ch-RUS w TB (2018)) can be included in the main event - it only requires a sentence or three in the bio and a little editing of the CG table.

Oct-18-18  thegoodanarchist: <Tabanus: <tga> Did you lose your mind 16-17 years ago?>

Because I don't agree with you on politics?

Typical liberal - you think there is only one acceptable POV on each issue (yours) and everyone else is insane, or a racist, or both.

Congratulations - you are now on Mark Finan's level.

(Yeah, I know you didn't call me a racist, but it was coming, right?)

Oct-18-18  thegoodanarchist: As for this:

<Tabanus: But, according to the link above, in the US I'm therefore worse than a muslim, a gay, a latino, a mormon, a jew, and a catholic.>

Whatever. You want me to answer for everyone in the USA? I will leave it as an exercise for the reader to identify the logical fallacy you are applying here.

Oct-18-18  thegoodanarchist: <Tabanus: Never mind, I can handle it.

What about other potential CG customers around the world? There are many gays, atheists, muslims, latinos, mormons, jews, catholics and (dare I say) women who could pay membership. Plus that the Trump type conservatism is not very popular outside the US. Perhaps hiding things away in the Rogoff forum is not enough to make <them> feel welcome?>

Wander off topic much?

Oct-18-18  thegoodanarchist: < saffuna: <sugardom><So you're liberal message for tolerance is only for your own kind?>

Not at all. Learn to read.>

  saffuna: Oh BS.

Objecting to overt homosexual imagery and accusations of causing other's deaths is being anti-conservative?

Ridiculous.

Oct-18-18  thegoodanarchist: <Tabanus: <Sargon> If no protests from outside the stalker group:>

You mean <saffuna>, who follows his opponents around to every page, to criticize them?

No, he can't be a stalker, he's a lefty.

Let's see... you?

I mean, you go to <OCF>'s forum, the Rogoff page, and now here (have I missed any? maybe KC?), to present your criticisms. But if someone dares to REPLY to your posts, then they are a stalker???

Is that how it works? Critics are not allowed to reply, or they get marginalized as "stalkers"?

You really are intolerant.

Oct-18-18  thegoodanarchist: < saffuna: Oh BS.

Here is the post to which you were replying:

<SugarDom: So you're liberal message for tolerance is only for your own kind?

The site tolerated people who applauded 911.>

Please explain which parts of that post, TO WHICH YOU WERE REPLYING, refer to homosexuality and causing death, because I don't see it in that post.

saffuna: Go back another post or two.

My comment was about people repeatedly using overt homosexual imagery and accusing another user of causing DF's death.

<sugardom> claimed that was showing tolerance only for liberals, which is totally ridiculous.

You know this, if course, <tga>. It's obvious. You just want to confuse things.

When I see comments worthy of criticism, I criticize them. People certainly criticize me ion different pages.
