Oct-18-18  Dr Winston OBoogie: <saffuna: Go back another post or two. My comment was about people repeatedly using overt homosexual imagery and accusing another user of causing DF's death.>

I think I know how to resolve these absolutely insane conspiracy theories because I ain't no doctor but I do think it APPEARS that stress was a main factor in Daniel's passing...

Go through alllllllll his emails he received from members of the site. Look at who blew the whistle most. Count up which members of Chessgames dot com emailed him the most, blew the whistle the most, pestered him the most - and post the names of the top 10 right here in this forum?

I guarantee you that half a dozen emails since January (and IIRC <didn't blow the whistle once> ) wouldn't put me in the top 50. I can only guess who'd be at #1 though!

Willber G: <thegoodanarchist: Please explain which parts of that post, TO WHICH YOU WERE REPLYING, refer to homosexuality and causing death, because I don't see it in that post.>

Here is the complete exchange between <SugarDom> and <Jim>:

<SugarDom: <What about other potential CG customers around the world? There are many gays, atheists, muslims, latinos, mormons, jews, catholics and (dare I say) women who could pay membership. Plus that the Trump type conservatism is not very popular outside the US. Perhaps hiding things away in the Rogoff forum is not enough to make <them> feel welcome?>

And what is CG supposed to do? Put up a big sign in the Home page like " We welcome gays, atheists, muslims, latinos, Jews, mormons, Catholics and women" and "we ban Trumpers, Christians and Big Pawns?">

<saffuna: How about "We welcome all who will be respectful to chess players and other posters"?

I found the repeated use of overt homosexual imagery and the insinuations that a poster caused DF's death to be indefensible.>

<SugarDom: So you're liberal message for tolerance is only for your own kind?

The site tolerated people who applauded 911.>

<saffuna: <sugardom><So you're liberal message for tolerance is only for your own kind?>

Not at all. Learn to read.>

  saffuna: Thank you.
Oct-18-18  Nisjesram: <susan freeman> asked me indirectly/politely not to pollute this forum with fights/debates.

So, now if i feel like responding to some contentious post here , i respond in <rogoff> forum. I did that two , three times. Once i posted here that i am responding in rogoff forum to post of <tpstar> that he made in this forum.

This way , we can avoid back and forth exchanges in this forum.

Rogoof forum or kibitzer cafe is the place for back and forth exchanges , not this forum , <harry lime> suggested, iirc.

Just saying. Your mileage may vary. To each , his own. Different strokes for different folks....

Thank you ...regards

Susan Freeman: Yes. Take it to rogoff. 😊
Oct-18-18  thegoodanarchist: < saffuna:

You know this, if course, <tga>. It's obvious. You just want to confuse things.>

What I know is which post followed which.

If you want to claim you were responding to another post, perhaps you should try putting the relevant part of it in angle brackets, for clarity.

saffuna: The entire exchange is posted above. You can read it.

It's not my responsibility to repost an entire series of posts just so you can understand.

I never said it was. Straw man argument from you (per usual).

<just so you can understand.>

I understand just fine. The only one of us missing the point is you. Also, this is per your usual: Obfuscate, change topic, argue with strawmen...

You never change, never improve your comments. So sad. A professional writer should do much better than that.

saffuna: I never changed topics. You just didn't read the previous two posts, the ones <willber> re-posted.

In any case, here's what I said:

1. I don't like to see one poster suggesting another poster is responsible for DR's death.

2. I don't like reading constant overt homosexual imagery.

How that qualified as being pro-life or anti-conservative is a mystery.

Oct-18-18  zanzibar: <<SF> Yes. Take it to rogoff. 😊>

The gal is learning fast!

Oct-18-18  Z truth: Not surprised to see <tga> still defeating <thegoodneega> account - which was racist from its very conception.

Sad.

<Tab> is right about the stalkers and their alignment.

Oct-18-18  zanzibar: Who's moderating <Memorable Quotes>?

<CG> or <The Alchemist>?

Oct-19-18  rogge: Why ask when you know the answer?
Oct-19-18  Count Wedgemore: <rogge> I think he wants the job.

In fact, he's acting like it's his job already.

Oct-19-18  Dr Winston OBoogie: And I think Zanzy gets some unnecessary criticism! He seems like a reasonable dude to me, there's some real pathetic cowards on this site, can't bully anyone in the real world (not that that's a good thing!) so they gang up against someone online. If it's not Jim it's Zanzy and 95% of you "bullies" support the biggest bully on planet earth. Strange that :)

OhioChessFan: Site was massively slow for 45 minutes, an hour? Starting maybe 8:45 am Chessgames time.
Oct-19-18  WinKing: Site went down about 7:20am EDT <OCF>. It was down for over 3hrs. Still extremely slow.
Oct-19-18  zanzibar: Seems to be back now (~12:40 EST)
Oct-19-18  zanzibar: <<Winnie> And I think Zanzy gets some unnecessary criticism! >

Word, but no worries.

Still, it's worth pointing out the gang mentality often at play here on <CG>.

Oct-19-18  zanzibar: RE: <Memorable Quotes>

<rogge: Why ask when you know the answer?>

But my dear <rogge>, I don't, at least not with 100% certainty.

I suspect it's <The Alchemist>, but that should be confirmed by <admin>.

In addition, there's several other questions that come to mind...

1) How long has it been moderated in such fashion.

2) Shouldn't there be notice about removed posts.

(E.g. <oppie> knew somehow, but I only noticed by accident)

3) Will there be an appeal process?

E.g. I really think my quote about <Diceman> qualifies rather nicely for <MQ>-land. I'd like to see the rationale for why it doesn't.

Oct-19-18  zanzibar: The moderating business needs to be discussed here I think...
Oct-19-18  zanzibar: (To expound a little...)
Even if the policy is to have anonymous moderators given complete subjective authority - the <CG> admins should at least provide public notice of the new policies here.

Oct-19-18  diceman: <Dr Winston OBoogie:

Don't make this forum your crying towel, take it somewhere else.

Even Nizzle gets it:
