Still getting the error notifications, still have to navigate several times to get to a page- such as this one for example.

The error notifications are still too frequent to get any work done. Very frustrating- please keep working on this problem.

Jun-09-22  nok: <OCF: If the site didn't have so many freeloaders, they'd have more $ to pay for more employees and less need for advertisements slowing things down.>

If long-time technical & moderation complaints weren't ignored, more people would be willing to contribute.

Cramming a shabby product w/ ads will only get you so far.

MissScarlett: Jonathan Golob vs NN, 2022

Who is letting this junk through?

Susan Freeman: <Z> You are ill informed. A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing. It isn't IR. I have been in touch with them.
CG has used them for many years.
Daniel started it.
They are NOT shabby.
They even offered to help.
I have a close relationship with them.

Susan Freeman: <Z> in what way were they problematic? Sources? Details?

<MissScarlett>

I didn't process Jonathan Golob vs NN, 2022 , but as you know the number of people who can process an upload is very, very small. You also know who they all are.

Are you sure you didn't accidentally upload it in a "fugue state"...

==============

I agree though- who is <Jonathan Golob> apart from a complete nobody with a lichess account? I thought we weren't supposed to upload such fare:

<Jonathan Golob
Number of games in database: 1
Years covered: 2022
Highest rating achieved in database: 1500>

Unacceptable "credentials." They are even sketchier than mine. I had no idea that people with lower ratings than me even existed.

...cue <Big Pawn> to resume whining about why he can't upload his blitz games without publishing his actual name.

At least <Jonathan Golob> sounds like a real name. He may be one of the "East Egg" Golobs for example.

Jun-10-22  Z free or die: <Susan> sorry, but I'm obviously only involved in a very limited capacity.

To reiterate - there was a change, involving increaserev.com, that was introduced about May 1st, as already mentioned. It's also true that I get error messages with the web inspector involving chessgames.js, which is being served by that site.

But you are correct in some aspects - e.g. <increaserev> was there before May 1, but not for <chessgames.js> but rather <secureads.js>.

When debugging the process is usually one of winnowing down the suspects. You have to work off some list, but not every suspect is guilty - and hopefully elimination leads there.

What do you have on your list?

Susan Freeman: <z> I enjoy your suggestions. There is a list but I am not about to publish it. I hope you were not degrading the U A E. As being scammers. I have never worked with a better lot. They are willing to come to the rescue.
I admire the culture and the integrity.
I have an Israeli account.
He is a gem.
And I have a partner who owns 25-% who is Iranian. I have no dealings with the Pakistanis
We have glitches. I am not Daniel.
I do have management ability and know what I do not know.
Jun-10-22  Z free or die: RE: <increaserev.com>

The data about them is limited, but here's a couple of links from a google search on them:

https://www.reddit.com/r/adops/comm...

https://www.reddit.com/r/adops/comm...

The other leading hits are from the site itself, or other promotional material.

Susan - do you have references, good independent reviews you could share?

Jun-10-22  Z free or die: <I hope you were not degrading the U A E>

I mentioned it as I believe it a fact, ie. they are either a UAE or Pakistani site. It was mentioned in the links I gave above.

Jun-10-22  Z free or die: (It's relevant insofar as some people mention communications problems with the company's representatives.)

Jun-10-22  Z free or die: Yeah, I'm almost done with it for tonight, but not just yet...

In 2017 there wasn't any mention of <increaserev>

https://web.archive.org/web/2022042...

Just to have a data point before <Daniel>'s passing.

Do we have a ETA for fixing this problem? Roughly?

Jun-10-22  diceman: <jessicafischerqueen:

Vienna?

<Joseph Haydn was the leader of fugal composition and technique in the Classical era.>

<The musical director of St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna had observed the boy on a visit to Hainburg and invited him to serve as chorister at the Austrian capital's most important church. Haydn's parents accepted the offer, and thus in 1740 Haydn moved to Vienna.>
