Sep-12-25 | | The Integrity: The website keeps crashing over and over and over again on the mobile phone. It keeps reloading and crashing repeatedly. |

 | | OhioChessFan: <Maybe you added some whitespace?> Ummm, maybe? Hard to believe I accidentally did that. <<OCF> I'm not sure I understand your question.
Was an edit you submitted bounced?>
No. An edit I have no knowledge of is showing up as version #9 and attributed to me. The version in question shows no change whatsoever, excepting possibly adding/subtracting a line of white space as <jnp> suggested. |

The main question then is how did your name get associated with an edit? Have you ever sleep-edited before? |

 | | OhioChessFan: I admit to being a little out of sorts as I'm enjoying a case of Covid this week. |

Sep-12-25 | | stone free or die: Ah, sorry to hear. Hopefully you recover fully and enjoy all those new antibodies. |

 | | offramp: Chessgames - Sports Have your beady eyes spotted that many Indians have become good at chess? Many Indians like <BOTH> chess and cricket! Any chance you could squeeze a cricket ball into the Chessgames - Sports home logo? |

 | | Tabanus: An interesting chess-related post in Recent Kibitzing (front page) now stands for about <one day> or even less before it disappears. Because every time there's a post in Politics, Sports etc., where most of the CG posts now are, it gets pushed one line down. Does this have a self-reinforcing effect? Just asking ;) |

Is this updated? And what does "0" stand for? |
|
Sep-13-25 | | stone free or die: <<Tab> Is this updated?> Good question. I would guess probably not since <Daniel> did it last. You can always do a spot check though, and compare tomorrow's stats against todays. <And what does "0" stand for?> This is almost certainly the old <Rogoff> forum that got deleted. |
|
Sep-13-25
 | | Tabanus: <the old <Rogoff> forum that got deleted> So the handful of Politics posters with half a million posts are financing CG because they "draw in new paople"? Hard to believe. |

 | | MissScarlett: <This is almost certainly the old <Rogoff> forum that got deleted.> Just to be on the safe side, maybe <Tab> and <stonehenge> ought to be placed on restricted duties. Chessgames - Politics will be neither the deliverance nor the downfall of <cg>. It requires no justification beyond itself. |

 | | WannaBe: <1959H> Home page, right hand side, scroll down to "PGN Upload Utility". It is virtually at the bottom. |
|
Sep-14-25
 | | MissScarlett: <How do I <add> a game to the database?> The word is <submit>. It will have to pass our extremely rigorous selection process. A [Source] tag for games before the computer era will definitely aid its path. |
|
Sep-14-25 | | stone free or die: "<MIssy> - The word is <submit>." And I thought I was pedantic!?!
* * * *
<<1959H>: How do I add a game to the database?> As <WannaBe> noted, there is an upload link on the <CG> homepage. I'll put the link here for convenience as well: https://www.chessgames.com/nodejs/u... Please read the guidelines, and if you're confused about the <Source> tag ask over on the <Biographer Bistro>: Biographer Bistro |

 | | MissScarlett: The editors' page - at my end, at least - is in limbo. We see the message box 'Getting user uploads...' but they never arrive. No Grand Swiss game updates until they do. |
