FSR: I just submitted a game NN-Rhine from 8/25/2024. I forgot the Source tag. It is

Please add it. Thanks.

FSR: Sorry, I just submitted a game where I gave White as "Guest1041760." Please substitute the traditional "NN." Thanks.

jnpope: <the old <Rogoff> forum that got deleted>

Not deleted. Just renamed with a new Rogoff page being created for the chess stuff.

I try not to delete things if at all possible.

Check It Out: To be clear, <sfod> is referring to the Rogoff page which did get deleted a few years ago, "accidentally". Ask <Stonehenge> for more details.
Sep-17-25  stone free or die: Thanks for clarifying that <CIO>. Of course everybody who resides here regularly realized that.

But, I often criticize others (or more often, suggest added precision), and here I failed to entirely precise myself.

Instead of saying - <the old <Rogoff> forum that got deleted>, I should have said:

<the <Rogoff> forum *'s entirety of posts* that got deleted>.

FWIW - I think <jn> is [less than brilliant -ed] for having me on ignore. Just saying.

jnpope: <MissScarlett: Should members have the facility to see which, if any, other members have them on ignore?>

That might be useful. I'm sure it's fairly trivial to make a member's ignore-list publicly available on their profile page, which seems less complicated than having to write code to query the database constantly to create a "who is ignoring me" page.

Sep-17-25  stone free or die: <Daniel> deliberately choose not to enable such a feature.

I believe he discussed why somewhere or another. I have a vague memory of it.

  Stonehenge: <Steve>

When visiting a player page as a main editor, the rating and the number of games should be automatically updated. Also, <Update Player Page> stopped working.

Sep-18-25  Messiah: From Spanish VPN I get a http/403 error when visiting the site. Now I am on a Romanian endpoint, and it loads without problem. By TOR I am also unable to reach the site, so I guess it is almost the same old story: VPNs and TOR are b&, unless someone is already logged in, all because of the past cyberattacks on the site. For these cases, can you pinpoint me the _exact_ URL that works in every cases for logging in? Thank you in advance.

Tabanus: <CG> I uploaded 6 games and it said "Success processed 6 games 0 skipped". But when checking, only 5 games were in. Did I make a mistake? Yes! I forgot to add "[Result "0-1"]" to one of the games. So I added "[Result "0-1"]" to it and submitted it again, but now it said "processed 0 games 0 skipped" and it still does not show up. It's probably in there with you somewhere as a "ghost game" - with or without "[Result "0-1"]" - can you make it visible?

Tabanus: For the flawed game it says "SUCCESS! Inserted game 2964620:ERROR: BAD RESULT ()" but 2964620 is the gid of the previous game which is in.

juan31: cg: Friday, September 19, for a few seconds everything seemed normal. Then everything went blank, including the home page. I want to think that the following answer is not official:

"They don't care about the user base."

I request that you cg solve my request. thank you

Sep-20-25  stone free or die: <juan31> - FYI: only two accounts on <CG> are truly "official", <Susan Freeman> and <stevemcd87>.

<Susan> is the owner, and <steve> is the lead programmer.

In the old days the account <chessgames> was mostly used as the official channel, which could be viewed as less confusing.

  juan31: <stone free or die>:

My account dates back to 2007. I come to CG on a daily basis and I contribute with my "grain of sand" by covering my membership on an annual basis. I had an idea that the answer did not come from a member of the team. It's just that it was an answer that confused me, which is why I wrote that I wish it weren't official. I'm still waiting for the technical solution from cg
