Oct-12-11 | | playground player: <Jessicafischerqueen> I can't wait to watch your new Nezhmetdinov video, but I can't do it justice this morning. I didn't get where I am today by rushing through intriguing videos. Meanwhile, I'm told the Canadian Supreme Court is about to decide whether to allow free speech that is grounded on religious conviction. What is the alternative? You don't have free speech unless your argument is NOT grounded on a religious conviction? Canada needs a First Amendment. Please feel free to borrow ours--while we still have one. |
|
Oct-12-11 | | Shams: <playground> Closer to home, SCOTUS is poised to rule this term on the hottest freedom of religion case in decades. (I don't recall offhand whether the Establishment Clause or the Free Exercise Clause is implicated.) Actually, I'm somewhat curious to hear your take on it. I'll post a link after class. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Shams> is SCOTUS some kind of Scottish Independence Movement Tribunal? If so, is <Sean Connery> on the board? If he is, I predict the judgment will be
"Sound.
Very sound." |
