jessicafischerqueen: Your over there regimen sounds salubrious! Interestingly, in Canada we save time by spelling "music and poker" as "moker." Initially we spelled it "poomus" but that sounded a little too declasse, even for us...

Domdaniel: <Jess> Combinations and chemistry are your only men, as a very famous person once said.

I've been rewatching your YouTube meisterwerk on Steinitz. Ist wunderbar.

I wouldn't mind some of that oxy-acetylene, or whatever it is. Sounds like fun. The 'agony' element, of course, does not.

The Mystery of the Vanishing Posts is rather odd. Is the culprit actually *targeting* Niels rather than generally clearing house? I've been keeping half an eye on the Stats page recently, being rather close to, um, 20,000 ... and I hadn't noticed anyone else moving backwards.

Still, <Reculer pour mieux sauter> as we say in Frogspawn.

Nov-13-11  hms123: <Dom> It seems clear that the person in question is cleaning house and not targeting anyone. It is as if you or <jess> started deleting posts left and right. The result would be that some people (me, niels, annie) would be more affected by the decision than would others.

Domdaniel: <hms> Ta. House-cleaning is something of an alien concept to me, but I get the picture.
Nov-13-11  BishopofBlunder: <My Queen>,

Get with the program! No one types anymore. You need a voice recognition software like Dragon Naturally Speaking. Then you can "talk" all your work. Of course, that might lead to tonsillitis, which can be rather painful (or so I've heard; I am, after all a man of few words, and even fewer thoughts). But not only can you have those taken out, they give you ice cream afterwards!

You can trust my medical (or any other) advice. I'm a Bishop.

Nov-13-11  Boomie: ->

An old man goes to the doctor.

Doc: What's the problem?

Old Man: I can't pee.

Doc: How old are you?

Old Man: 92

Doc: It's OK then. You've peed enough.

Boomie Youngman

Moral: You've typed enough for all of us.

Merry Squabmas.

Nov-13-11  Boomie: All seriousness aside, I've avoided such typing injuries by putting the keyboard in my lap. This relieves the strain on the carpal tunnels. Also use a chair with good back support. Your favorite tummy on futon position is straining those back muscles.

Domdaniel: Hmmm. I put the keyboard on the floor, and kneel before it in a sort of folded-up grovelling-to-heathen-idol position, with toes, knees and elbows on the carpet. Nose and toes the same way goes. Works for me.
